Otsikko: Unsupported form of Compression?
Kirjoitti: DaveV - elokuu 21, 2011, 02:42:27 IP
This error just popped up today and my forum is down. I ftp'd into the site and no date changes to indicate any hacks or changes to the site.

Has anyone seen this error before?

Oh yeah, SMF 1.1.14
Other sites on the same server account are fine. I was able to put the forum in maintenance mode via ftp and setup.php and that page comes up, but that's as far as it gets.

First off, try emptying your browser's cache.

Especially if you use Firefox. ;)

That's the first thing I tried. Still locked out even on other computers with a variety of browsers.

You need to disable compressedoutput in smf

Try this sql query

REPLACE INTO smf_settings VALUES ('enableCompressedOutput', 0);

It worked! Thank you!!!

Now, if it worked with the old setting for all these years, I wonder what just changed?

I'd guess that most probably your server configuration has had some small changes by your host, causing the setting to now misbehave.
