I've searched here and can't find an answer.
Using Babylon 1.1.14 theme.
I want to remove the system generated "new" icon that pops up after a new topic is posted.
I've looked in Admin-->Current Themes & there's no option to remove certain icons in there. I can change the icon set as a whole.
I've located the icons for the "new" icon, but I'm afraid to delete them.
What is the best way to get rid of this icon without causing errors, please?

you would have to remove the code to call that image, just removing the actually image will just cause errors. why do you want the image removed?
Easiest way would be to create a blank, transparent gif to replace new.gif with, in the theme's "images/english" directory (Or the default theme's one).
I've attached just such an image, to save you the hassle. ;)
