Theme Updated with some more features
I like this theme, its a little clean exciting theme now with ability to change background from Theme Admin panel. I have just added this feature. A theme strictly for non-geeky forums.
hello,
Sorry for my poor english.
Could you please tell me how we can increase the page width in a Gainda forum ?
Thank you.
Your english is fine.
Unfortunately, Gainda is a fixed width theme so you can't change its width. However, I have plan to make it fluid width very soon.

Have a vey nice week end !!! ;) :)
Hi Ricky! I was hoping to get some help with this theme.
I wanted to know how I could get rid of the upshrink link in the header completely and have my logo be centered. I attached a screencap of what it looks like now.
Also, I've selected the white herbs for the background and no image appears. When I right click the background to see what should be there, it says the file is not found on my server. However, when I go through the file folders using FTP it IS there. And I get this error:
"Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache/2.2.21 (Unix) mod_ssl/2.2.21 OpenSSL/0.9.8e-fips-rhel5 mod_fcgid/2.3.6 Phusion_Passenger/3.0.9 mod_bwlimited/1.4 Server at www.xxxxx.org Port 80"
Any idea how to fix the problem?
For that you , in theme's index.template.php
Find :
// the upshrink image, right-floated
echo '
<img id="upshrink" src="', $settings['images_url'], '/upshrink.png" alt="*" title="', $txt['upshrink_description'], '" style="display: none;" />';
Remove it or comment it out.
In Themes/Gainda/css/index.css
Find
#top_section {
margin-bottom: 3px;
min-height: 65px;
overflow: hidden;
}
Replace with :
#top_section {
margin-bottom: 3px;
text-align: center;
min-height: 65px;
overflow: hidden;
}
Also find:
h1.forumtitle {
float: left;
font-family: Geneva,verdana,sans-serif;
font-size: 1.8em;
line-height: 45px;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}
Replace it with :
h1.forumtitle {
font-family: Geneva,verdana,sans-serif;
font-size: 1.8em;
line-height: 45px;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
}
For second question, I am not sure why you are facing such problem, I just checked the theme package on fresh installation, its fine and working as expected, may be you have some permission issue or something. May be deleting and re-uploading files can help.
A bit too bright for me but never the less, not bad at all. ;)
Someone has to do it.. ie to make bright themes :)
