Nice but text is not in the middle :)
I check it ASAP, but it seems to happen only in FF and Opera. On latest versions of IE and Google Chrome it's looking fine..

For me this error is from FB, my code don't change how stream is displayed, so a this moment i have no idea how to fix this :|
Maybe i came up with something later...

Everything seems to be just fine, except size of your Like Box, but i wrote at first message - best size of Like Box (for this background) is 197x370px.
Others sizes will be available in next version(s).

- From now you don't have to go to FB site and generate Like Box code. Just enter URL of your site.
- Added few options (I moved this options from FB site, because from now you don't have to generate own code...):

This isn't caused by this mod. It's FB fault.
Maybe if this slide box would be wider then this would not be that much visible (in next version there will be option for custom size, so this problem will dissapear)... I haven't influence how Like Box is displayed by different web browsers, so i can't fix this.

May I also suggest that you allow users to specify the number of pixels from top of window when scrolled to the top and from top of screen when floating? I also use the mods "Show your social networks" and "Socialize" and the FB like box happens to overlap with those icons, in effect blocking them...

You have to add URL to your FB site not ID.

This version adds new option, which allows you to add own Facebook icon. After releasing "stable" version of this modification I start to move it to hooks, maybe I end in this year..
I am getting the same error as some of the others here. I think I have everything set right but I just get the "Could not retrieve id for the specified page. Please verify correct href was passed in." error message.
Here is what I have set and the error message. I can go directly to the facebook url in a browser so I know the url is correct. The url is www.facebook.com/screenprintersopen
Just thought of something. Since the mod is calling the facebook like plugin and passing the facebook url to it. Could it be that if you do not have any "likes" yet it would cause the error?

I know when I'm logged into facebook on the page in question it will not display anything on the slide box. You need to log out of facebook or use facebook as yourself and not the page.

Don't know what exactly do you mean. In Like Box you have Like button for FB fanpage, if you want "Like" in topics this mod doesn't add this

If you didn't use "Install in Other Themes" then yes, but only edit index.tempalte.php
I had a problem thinking it didn't install correctly but it never uploaded the image correctly. If the box isn't showing up and you have the code in your index.template file, check if your "URL for Facebook icon" is there. I had to manually upload mine and everything is great now. Nice Mod!

We ended up removing this mod. Mobile users complained that the facebook box does not close and it blocks the entire screen making the forum useless

No, you cannot.
I guess that there's conflict with some other mod. Theoretically if you know how to edit files, you can just ignore this errors, and add code (you'll find it in manual installation instructions) manually to both index.template.php files, but
remember to make backup.

I have one version for SMF 1.1.x but there was some problem (which i couldn't solve) and I decided to remove it from download page
I have the mod up and running but have a bit of an issue and wanted to know if it is something that has been addressed before. The facebook tab is active and slides open when hovered over in Chrome but there is only a blank box. When using any other browser the mod works fine and shows the correct data when hovered over. I browsed through the other replies on this board but did not see anything about this issue.
Are you aware of this and is there a fix?

Yes, there is version for twitter, but for now it's still WIP. As I'm doing it without file edits (using hooks) and trying to add few useful options it may take a while before i send it to modsite.

At first, thank you for that great idea, its really a good mod. But i have just one problem at the package manager. There is something wrong with the Sources/Admin.php file. I checked the file, but i could not find the mistake. Everything seems to be fine.

I just installed this. Works great no issues. I have one request however. I want to put this tab at the lower end of my page, actually at the very bottom of my page. The problem is when you mouse over the tab the box doesnt flip and open in the upward direction. It still opens down and so you can't see anything. Is it possible in a future up date to give it this option?

The only thing I notice is that on my iphone the facebook is in the open position. I read something here in a previous post about this but couldn't remember what the fix was.

I want to put this tab at the lower end of my page, actually at the very bottom of my page.
Can you show me on screenshot where exactly you want to show this slide box?
I have a bout 3 monitors hooked up to my computer. If I do a screen shot it takes a picture of all three. The imgae is huge and looks crazy. But it real simple. I wanted to put the buttons on the right side, at the bottom of the page in the corner. Its the lower right hand corner.
The point it is. The lower down on the page that you put the tab. When the box opens up part of the box is cut off. The box should be able to open up or down depending upon the placement of the tap. Take you facebook tab and move it down to the bottom or somewhere low on you page. Now hover over it. When it open you can't see anything, because it only faces down.

I accidentally deleted an older version instead of uninstalling it. I then uploaded the newest version.
Now I have the normal box on the left side that works as it should.
I also have a box with content that always displays at the very bottom of the page. It does not hide.
I also have two facebook slide box admin pages in the admin section.

I'm guessing that you updated mod from 1.x to 2.0.x ? If so you have to remove from Load.php, Admin.php, index.template.php and from language files code added by earlier version.
If you can write what version you have installed I can give more specific instructions (or send me files that I mentioned above).
I currently have Facebook Slide Like Box 2.0.3 installed.
I dont remember which version I had but its possible that it was 1.X
If thats not enough info I can attach those files for you.
I tried looking at the parser to see what edits I needed to look for in which files but didnt see anything specific.

Try to search and remove code between "//FB Slide Like box" in files Admin.php, Load.php, ManageSettings.php and index.template.php.
Before editing remember to make backup of this files. If you want you can send me these files and I'll remove old code.

You need to *run* hook.php. I can just about guarantee you won't be able to install it manually otherwise because it requires making very specific database changes.
Oh yes! Its not working on admin pages... I tried to work on admin pages all day :)

I having difficulties getting this mod installed. I tried using the Package Manager, but I'm constantly getting 530 errors (Login incorrect) even though I am entering my correct username and password.
Therefore, I decided to install the mod manually.
I moved the necessary files and directories as suggested. But I am not quite sure how the execute the hooks.php executable. I also created a temp directory under the Packages directory and moved all the mod files and directories into that directory. I also chmod that temp directory to 775. Yet, I am unable to install this mod.
Not sure what to do next? Any assistance would be appreciated.
Maybe try to upload hooks.php into root SMF catalog and run it in your web browser

I have SMF 2.0.2. I do not know anycoding or scripting. Is this a package that will self install or will any of the script have to be changed? We have a Facebook group. How would we get our blinkie or graphic on it? I am so sorry to ask such stupid questions.

first of all: nice work!
But there's an issue showing the slider not correctly in Google Chrome. Normally the slider should scroll down as well as you scroll down the page, but on Chrome it doesn't. Instead of that it starts to flicker, or disappears, or shows only artifacts. If you don't scroll, everything works fine.
On Firefox and IE the scrolling issue doesn't appear at all and everything works as intended ...

On your demo site everything works fine.
I've integrated the Pretty Photo code (similar to lightbox) myself in my forum to display lager images in an animated frame ... it depents on jquery too ... maybe there is a version conflict.

Facebook App ID is incorrect. App ID contains only numbers.
And I can see that you trying use slide box with Facebook Groups - it won't work, it's only for Facebook profiles.

Not strictly true, yes the app ID is incorrect, however while you are correct in assuming that FB Groups do not work; FB pages work well instead of main profiles.

Why would you want to remove hooks? Hooks are to avoid editing files :)

In you Facebook Slide Like Box settings, there are names of different groups for which it should be blocked. You might have checked that. Uncheck those options and it will work.

Sorry for bumping this old thread but I am not able to use this mod with my current theme. But if I switch to the curve defualt theme then it works.
Can anyone tell me how to make it work with my current theme.

Did you install the theme before or after this mod?
I installed the theme before.
Then uninstall the mod and reinstall it. That's what I'd try first.
Any theme you add won't work with mods you've previously installed as a rule.
My guess is that FB is not in correct folder (you didn't check other themes when you installed this mod). Mod is using hooks, so it does not matter if theme was installed after mod.
Folder ? I just uploaded the zip file to the forums and it did everything.
It's working if I switch to the default theme that is Curve but isn't working with my current theme.
Is there any way of fixing it.
And yes I tried reinstalling it . That didn't work!
And yes, phantom, I installed the mod with this same theme not anyother theme. It's working in one forums xbros.in but isn't working in another forums I administrate @ xqsdelhi.tk

EDIT: and yes, it isn't giving my any option of choosing all themes for the package. When I click on install (after uninstalling it just simply redirects to the settings page)
Both sites (xbros.in and xqsdelhi.tk) have removed SMF and theme copyright in footer. For me no copyright = no support. Maybe someone else doesn't care and will help you.

I am installing it (mod version 2.1.3) on SMF 2.0.11, theme LikeIPB.
It doesn't show option for installing in other themes. However, it installs successfully but there is no button.
