At the top right of the screen here is an extra menu that does not come standard in SMF. It is the one that says "Home", "Community", "Download", etc.
I had it when I had SMF RC2.04 butI have just upgraded to SMF 2.0. I do not remember what the mod was called, can someone light my way? I would love to have it again as it is an amazing mod!
Thank you!
Take a look at this:
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2564
Thanks.
It states it is only for 2.0 RC4. Has anyone tried is with 2.0 yet? Obviously this forum is using something. :)
This forum is using a custom code AFAIK
it should work on 2.0, try using the emulate feature on install
SimpleMachines top menu is custom coded, and not associated with the user developed top menu mod, the mod does actually have some styling differences if I remember correctly.
I went to install it but did not see the emulate function. Where can I use that?
on the package page, on the mods list, theres an "advanced" link, click on it, type 2.0 RC4 and click on apply, now you can install the mod, once installed, click on revert
Well bummer, it still said there were errors with the template so I will not continue as I would not know what to do if I screwed things up. But that is a slick option, dang SMF is sweet!
yes, the emulate feature only allows you to install mods that were made for other SMF version, but cannot avoid file errors, you will need to apply those edits manually, remember always do a back up of your files before editing anything.
Hmmm, manual editing scares me and then of course I always fear what it might do to future mods too. :)
thats when the back up files come in handy ;)
