My quote template is TOTALLY wrong.. Can someone help me?
My forum quote template

Someone elses forum quote template
Need... more... info...
Yeah, more info would be great (like a link to where this is displayed). A guess though. In the css/index.css for that theme, look for:
/* A quote, perhaps from another post. */
blockquote.bbc_standard_quote, blockquote.bbc_alternate_quote {
color: #000;
border: 1px solid #000;
margin: 2px;
padding: 3px;
font-size: x-small;
line-height: 1.4em;
overflow: auto;
}The color is set to #000; which is black. You could try a lighter gray like #ccc;
/* A quote, perhaps from another post. */
blockquote.bbc_standard_quote, blockquote.bbc_alternate_quote {
color: #ccc;
border: 1px solid #ccc;
margin: 2px;
padding: 3px;
font-size: x-small;
line-height: 1.4em;
overflow: auto;
Still like it was after saving this..
I dont got more info because im not good at this.. Im trying to get better & learn stuff but its hard (in my opinion) :(
OK, then how about a link to where a quote is displayed on your site? Seeing it in action would prove very useful.

Thanks for that. Looks like this is the area to edit your colors in then:
/* Alterate block quote stylings */
blockquote.bbc_standard_quote {
background-color: #232323;
color: #bbb;
border-radius: 5px;
-moz-border-radius: 5px;
-webkit-border-radius: 5px;
-khtml-border-radius: 5px;
}
blockquote.bbc_alternate_quote {
background-color: #292929;
color: #999;
border-radius: 5px;
-moz-border-radius: 5px;
-webkit-border-radius: 5px;
-khtml-border-radius: 5px;
}
Thanks :) But what should i edit it to? :/
Try this one:
/* Alterate block quote stylings */
blockquote.bbc_standard_quote {
background-color: #ccc;
color: #000;
border-radius: 5px;
-moz-border-radius: 5px;
-webkit-border-radius: 5px;
-khtml-border-radius: 5px;
}

Go to runesky.com and login as strafe with password mrgrumpy
Then go to http://runesky.com/index.php?topic=27288.msg206991#msg206991
Different but similar themes:
Yours:
Themes/blackrain_theme/css/index.css?fin20
Runesky's
Themes/BlackRain_RC/style.css?rc1
And different versions of SMF. You could try this:
/* Alterate block quote stylings */
blockquote.bbc_standard_quote {
background-color: #D7DAEC;
color: #000000;
border: 1px solid #000000;
border-radius: 5px;
-moz-border-radius: 5px;
-webkit-border-radius: 5px;
-khtml-border-radius: 5px;
}
Ok done. Can you see it? I still can't see any changes >.<
Wait its like the picture you took :s Downloaded mozilla so i see it now. Still wrong :/ Any other ideas? Thank you alot for trying :)
Define wrong.
Logout and log back on. Any theme changes I've made to files seemed to take affect immediately but it couldn't hurt.
So its impossible? :(
Are you wanting your nested quote boxes to the be the same shade?
Impossible? I don't follow. I just cannot fix "wrong" without qualifying what that means. It looks good to me, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess.
It dosnt look like the one at runesky.com :(
Try this next:
/* Alterate block quote stylings */
blockquote.bbc_standard_quote {
color: #000000;
background-color: #D7DAEC;
border: 1px solid #000000;
margin: 1px;
padding: 1px;
font-size: x-small;
line-height: 1.4em;
}
blockquote.bbc_alternate_quote {
color: #000000;
background-color: #D7DAEC;
border: 1px solid #000000;
margin: 1px;
padding: 1px;
font-size: x-small;
line-height: 1.4em;
}
God bless you mashby :D Thank you very much.
