server has gone away
we are working on SMF 1.1.9
and Our host he tell us contact to simplemachines there load of SMF
How you Can Help me ?
who is your host?
Tell your host to take a look at this page: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/5.0/en/gone-away.html.
I would recommend finding a better host though. If they send you here for something that's a problem at their end, then they really don't know what they're doing.

if Writing and send topic Between 2000 : 3000 Or 20000 Character in vbulletin it's working fine without any problem.
if Writing and send topic Between 2000 : 3000 Character in SMF it's give server has gone away or (Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage)
What do you see and how you can help me?
you still have not answered the question as to who your host is, we are asking for a reason.

HostGator & i have try it on othere host with me on Godady we have this Issue on two Host and I'm try it on my pc by xampp it's working fine but verey slow with send topic
well those are both oversold hosts you will have issues, try a host that is not oversold

I'm Tell you ,I'm try it on my pc by xampp it's working fine but ((verey slow)) with send topic & we have no't this Issue with vbulletin forum on that host!!!! :o
yet your host is known to be a poor host and have issues, so find a better host and your problems go away.

and i have dealt with many people with those hosts and other oversold hosts they move to a new host and all their problems go away. you can ignore my advice if you want but you will not get your issue solved on your current host.

I have try it on VPS too
no i have read your issue it is a server side issue, or a server that is not configured correctly and no i dont have those replies stored somewhere to copy/paste

check the hosting board here, all those hosts are decent hosts and not oversold.

SMF working fine and verey fast (BUT) the problem Only with post or edit any topic up to 2000 Character!
and as i said above find a new host, last time i will tell you this ALL your problems are related to your host being oversold and not configured correctly.

My site used to have 44k posts and 9k topics. Can't remember member count. And with such stats I never got issue in functions like send topic. have you seen send topic function yet as to me with such stats it won't be putting much of pressure on DB etc. So, my answer is same as Illori

Every code is written in it's own way. I never compare codes, as you might find some issue with other script while SMF might be running fine for you.

SendTopic.php, see that file and see the SQL query in there, seems to be pretty small and fine to me.

- First of all you are bumping the topic well within 24 hrs, due to which most people around here will start ignoring it.
- We all work here as volunteers and have personal and professional life.
Now as far as your issue is concerned I don't see why with those tags send topic will be creating problems.
Do you have any errors in error log or server log?
Are you using default theme?
What mods do you have installed?
Also, please don't bump topics with such frequency. Don't expect a reply from my side very soon as it's 4.20 AM in my part of world.
