I am using 1.1.14
Theme is based on Core Default.
I logged on this morning and at the top left-- it used to say something like this:
Show unread posts
Show new replies
It is gone--it just disappeared. How do I add it back?
Done anything, recently?
Added a mod, or anything?
Yes, I did add a mod yesterday --but it didn't work it right--so I uninstalled it, then deleted it.
I will look and see which mod it was.
Also, I did try to uninstall the Comic Avatars Mod-- but it said something like that could not be found..
This might help you out, if you didn't backup, first:

Oh brother! This sounds very complicated.
Why didn't I make a backup this time? I usually do.
Can I just reset my theme to Core Default?
If you look, it's not complicated, at all, really.
Get the file.
Download it.
Dearchive it.
Upload files, overwriting what you have, now.
Done.
:)
Ok,
I got it downloaded--- where, I do not know. It is under downloads.
It won't open.
This is where I am confused.
Download that file to your desktop, or somewhere fairly empty of files and dearchive it.
It's a "gz" file.
Yes, I see that--but it won't open.
When you dearchive it you'll be left with a "tar" file.
How in the world do I dearchive?
a program like winzip or winrar should do the job for you.
I just downloaded one of those programs to figure it out.
But, when I installed the newest update (1.1.15 ) --- it fixed itself. :)
Heh... The magic of SMF, eh? ;)
The upgrade probably overwrote the offending file.
WoOt!

Love it! Thanks for the smile! Now if you can help me with my other problems about the latest member and the numbers not showing up. The time for editing works great, I think! :)
Just posted, in there, as it 'appens. :)
