how do i make a thread and put a poll in it or do i have to make a poll one
In the future, you should post support questions at the support boards For 1.X Support (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=9.0) or For 2.X Support (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=147.0).
To create a new poll, simply press the New Poll button to the right (in most cases) of your New Topic button. If you want to include a poll in a reply, if that is what you mean, I don't think that is possible and honestly it wouldn't make any sense, lol.
Or you can create a thread, and at any time click the "Add Poll" button to add a poll to the thread.
