Do the theme versions listed for a theme have to match to the version of SMF being used? I am using 1.1.13, and see just a very few (very not-pretty) themes that list this version as compatible.
I can understand a 2.0 theme not working, but will one with other 1.1.X versions listed be compatible with 1.1.13?
Thanks!
most 1.1.1* themes should work on all 1.1.1* versions but it never hurts to do a backup before installing the theme in case something goes wrong.
I'll give it a shot again, thanks. I tried installing a theme yesterday listed as being compatible with 1.1.5, and it didn't seem to work.
Why not upgrade to v1.1.15?
The two versions were only security fixes, so it's highly unlikely that they'll break anything.
Whilst I was fiddling with the themes, I did come across the upgrade options, and I installed them. I am now at 1.1.15.
I am still having difficulty with installing themes. I have now tried 4 more themes, and for some reason they're not showing up properly.....
Here's Dogal (SMF versions: 1.1.5, 1.1.10, 1.1.11, 1.1.12):

Here's SMFone Multicolour (SMF versions: 1.1 RC2, 1.1 RC3, 1.1, 1.1.1, 1.1.3, 1.1.4, 1.1.5, 1.1.7, 1.1.10)

Everything seems to be installed correctly. I'm not sure what is causing the images to not load.....

if you actually link us to your forum with a theme as default that has the issue we may be able to tell you more.

you might want to check your file/folder permissions and see that the themes files actually exist in the Themes folder.
Permissions? I know nothing about them.
However, since you mentioned it, I checked the get info for the new themes folders in Cyberduck, and sure enough the permissions were listed and they were different for the two new themes vs. the installed themes. I have updated the permissions to match, and now everything works. Thank you so much for your help!
