I have installed a simple Machines forum but it will not let me log out of my admin account o log in as a normal user, is this normal or is this bug, is there a way round it? I keep pressing the log out but it still shows me logged in and I do not get an option to log in as another user. please help.
what version of smf are you running? what are you cookie settings? sounds like they need to be tweaked.

It works fine on Safari browser but not on firefox for some reason. Firefox is set to accept cookies and 3rd party cookies
what are you cookie settings under server settings in the admin panel? i would also recommend you upgrade to 1.1.15
Default login cookies length (in minutes) 60
Enable local storage of cookies Is ticked
(SSI won't work well with this on.)
Use subdomain independent cookies Is ticked
(turn off local cookies first!)
There does not appear to be an option to upgrade to another version anywhere
uncheck use subdomain independent cookies save the page and see if that helps and check the package manager for the upgrade packages.
Have upgraded to 1.1.15 and I have unched the option you sugested but I still cant log out of the forum.
No idea what is going on with it, maybe it is a buy between the forum and firfox, but i can log out of Simplemachines.og forum on firefox.
try changing your cookie name and logging in again after that.
Can you change it to anything? Sorry I am not that well up on this it is my first forum.
anything should be fine or just add another number to it or remove a number etc.
