^^^ lol @ robot :)

Nibogo, the screenshots of the PRO version doesn't work...
I'm interested in this mod, especially this part: "Hierarchic URL Structure: URLs would follow a pattern, so you can easily go to the board of a topic just removing the topic part of the URL. Just like folders."

Do you have a demo somewhere where I can see how it (all the features) works ?

I installed the light version and this error keeps appearing into my error log:

Unknown column 'b.member_groups' in 'where clause'
/home/xxxx/public_html/forum/Sources/Subs-Seo.php
Row: 229

Any thoughts?

Hello, How do you upgrade ticket to urgent to high in your support area?
It is low by default and I can't find option to upgrade to high.

After installation of SEO Pro Mod, any posting/modifying or external link posting giving me 404 page.
If I, or member want to post or modify anything after submitting  it will go to 404 page. Post will eventually show in forum but first it will be redirected to 404.

Also when I insert external link in the post, it will add my main domain in front of link, that will again send me to 404 page. Like this:

I want to link to http://someothersite.com, but inserting hiper link, I will get this:

http://mysite.com/smf/seored/u=http%3A%2F%2Fsomeothersite.com%2%2F%3Fcat%3D5

In the preview of post I just see [ url ]http://someothersite.com[ /url ]

I am running 2.0.2 version with  Default Theme - Curve

I tried installing mod on my existing web site. Did not work. I installed mod on brand new fresh installation of SMF. Did not work. I installed this mod on SMF forum installed in root directory as well as in sub directory, did not work. I installed your mod on SMF forum freshly installed using Fantastico on Hostgator. Did not work. I installed your mod on manually installed forum downloaded from SMF download section. Did not work. I installed your mod on freshly installed SMF using Softocolous  on Webhostpad servers. Did not work. I installed your mod on manually instaled SMF hosted on Webhosting pad server. Did not work.

So I tried using your mod on two different hosting companies, using manually and automatically installed SMF forums. I tried on my existing website as well as on freshly installed forums, without any additional mods installed. DID NOT WORK.

Ah yeah....also I repeated all above mentioned scenarios with two of your latest versions of your mod. Did not work.

I offered you access to my cpanel and ftp. You did not reply to that. I asked you what changes on server my host should do to make it work. You did not reply to that . Your technical support is non-exhisting, slowest and worst I ever experienced. You are not giving me any useful information that possibly can solve issue. Your last reply was exactly like this: "if that feature is not working I don't know why you need it so badly, all the other features are going to work and you can even use another pretty urls mod thatworks with your server"

Because I paid for full set of promised features, not for some of them.

Not likely, but I am open to possibility that could be issue with two very popular and known hosting companies. However any attempt to get any useful information from tech support of this mod failed.

Mod features sounds good in theory, that is why I purchase it in first place, but if you have problem with it, do not count on any tech support. IT DOES NOT EXIST. After opening ticket, it will take a days for you to get rubbish non helping replay from owner.  Refund of the money is also rejected.
If anyone is interested screen capture of complete conversation with tech support is available. Good only for laugh !
I regret that I did not search forums on seller before I paid for this mode. If you do, you could find other buyers with similar issues with this guy.

I gave you an htaccess that worked for everybody but you, it didn't worked, I toll you what you could ask to Hostgator, but your reply was that you tried in two hosting companies. That feature is working normally in all tests I did, and I'm in my last week of this semester so I've final exams almost every day, that's why I'm not replying as fast as you would like to.

Not only that you are lousy businessman, but you lie as well. Ticket is still open on your admin area. There is no any reply from you where you are giving me any answer what possibly Hostgator should do to make it work. If you are referring to this replay"To verify, script should be working normally, if pretty urls are, redirection from php files should do it too. I've no reports about it from other customers". You obviously did not even read what problem was. And what are you talking about in this replay anyway? What files you are referring to?

If you had time issue because of personal things, you could say something about it, not let buyers wait 3 or 4 days for replay. Speed of your reply doesn't really mean anything anyway, since they are worthless.
It is very interesting how you found time right away to reply very quickly to critic in public forum !

I reply everywhere when I find time for it, if you can't wait until I've time to check as it looks like your server admin wasn't able to fix it, sorry, but I won't leave my duties in college for it. It's not critical as disabling that features leaves everything else (including all the other features of my mod) working

If you use it with SSI.php you get broken links from your site to forum. It's pain in ass.
Any idea how to fix this?

I'm trying with str_replace to convert regular link to seo... like replacing '(), and other signs with empty space but i don't have list of all signes...

We found a solution at the forum a few minutes ago: http://www.smfpacks.com/b48/frequently-asked-questions/1000/msg5401#msg5401

Just keep sending them tickets. Don't give up. You paid for your mod,
so you have the right to take advantage of it. There are always solutions.
That's their responsibilty. They must deliver what they promise.

LoL, thanks, I just gave up on them and found other solutions.

They wanted to always blame it on my server and I knew 110% that wasn't the case because I was able to find other solutions that did the same thing and it worked perfect.

I just know I won't purchase anything else from them.

If I ain't wrong I did an update fixing the issue you had with titled links, I also asked information for the other issue, and in 13 days I had no reply, so I closed the ticket with the following message:

"Marking as resolved, if you've further issues please re-open it."

You had no response in 13 days because because it took you a month to respond in which I had given up after a month of no response and looked for other solutions Since I have funding for this project and wasn't going to wait for a fly by night operation in which I paid for.

After I did the release I only had one reply from you which was replied the day after, and it took me 15 days (not a month) to check the code. From May 28 to June 13 as you can't expect to do a release for such a complex mod, specially knowing that the release I did was including a lot more than just this issue.

In any case I can't use this website to discuss about pro versions, I had a delay with this, but I think it's working pretty well now. Let me know if you want to discuss it even further.

I don't think i'm unfair. We had many problems with the SEO mod. Look, I don't want to complain here, I understand that you worked very hard to create this mod for the community. I really, really appreciate that, because SMF itself isn't as search engine friendly as it could be.

I have a major problem now. Host put our forum down, because of the CPU usage. I'm going to send you a new ticket now.

You were released a update for the mod in whole as a benefit for yourself, not a direct resolution to my issue that is still not resolved.

If you want to argue that it took you 15 days and not a month to respond. I could have at least had some kind of communication within that 15 days to at least state you were looking into it. You want to take 15 days with no communication but yet you want to mark my issue resolve after 13 days of no response? You can take two weeks but others who paid cannot? That is bad business to just leave a customer hanging like that who PAID for a mod plus poor customer service.

Pretty Actions still do not work correctly - (Gave up on it since it was a headache)

Page Titles still do not work - (Was blamed on my server when wasn't the case. Found a mod that WORKED to take it's place)

Now the Google Analytics Data doesn't work because it appears the URL to Google has changed and is throwing back Error: Not a valid response (404) url: https://www.google.com/analytics/feeds/accounts/default and nothing has changed and it was working fine previously.

That is just a couple of examples I have many more.

For anyone else, don't waste your time or money with this mod. It has not helped my forum one bit. It misses several key fundamental SEO techniques.

I did! It went ignored for a month with no reply so I gave up. No communication what so ever that you were investigating it or anything. I don't demand support for something free. But if I PAY for something then yes I demand support and communication in a timely manner. Especially if it is causing problems with my forum. Time is money and I don't like anyone wasting ether.

Go click on WxScripts and Gallery from the menu, does it look like it's working to you? I asked you about this too months ago and it was ignored. Do you remember? Maybe that was another problem you blamed on my server because you didn't know what was wrong.

No, you don't.

Nofollow doesn't work nor does it work with the Anti-spam links.

Author Tag under meta tags isn't formatted correctly to work with social media sites. Not to mention the meta tags doesn't alter the current header tags. They are added in which creates redundant meta tags. Search Engines hate this.

XML Sitemap throws errors

http://www.wxconnection.com/sitemap/xml

Should I go on? Because I can... It's your money, not mine

I have 45+ mods installed perfectly and running with no problems and tested the forum throughly for months before launching. This mod is the ONLY one that has issues and conflicts with anything. You don't care to hear it or want to make it better. If it works for you or no one says anything you don't care. People are going to install mods, this isn't going to be the only one used.

1. It's because you've folders with the same name of the action.

2. I don't know what anti spam links is.

3. If you don't like how meta tags are being created you can disable those, but they are working just fine for me and others.

4. Latest version does not have issues with xml if style file has proper permissions

3. If you don't like how meta tags are being created you can disable those, but they are working just fine for me and others.

The meta tags work fine, but they are not formatted correctly for integration with social networks. Example, even though it isn't right by FB and no fault really of this mod. FB uses meta property instead of meta name which throws error in the linter for Author. It also wouldn't hurt to have these statically set in the index template instead of being called dynamically from a sources file.

4. Latest version does not have issues with xml if style file has proper permissions

I am using the latest version of 1.1.16. Where are these permissions set?

bsteamy wrote about smfhacks.com owner Nibogo and the smf seo pro mod:
QuoteNot only that you are lousy businessman, but you lie as well.....
...If you had time issue because of personal things, you could say something about it, not let buyers wait 3 or 4 days for replay. Speed of your reply doesn't really mean anything anyway, since they are worthless. It is very interesting how you found time right away to reply very quickly to critic in public forum

I can confirm that...

I bought this mod for my 6 year old forum and I am very disappointed and angry about very bad support and behavior of smfpacks.com and Nibogo. I always had pretty urls, never any problems with my forum - until I tried to install smf seo pro mod. I bought it after upgrading smf 1 to 2 because I was looking for seo mod.  So I paid 40 Dollars but unfortunately I didn't read this thread before buying it...

Urls are not pretty now and its not so nice in the eyes of google, but smfpacks.com made urgency for this ticket is low. Thats not the kind of support I expected when I bought this product! And its ashaming that smfpacks.com answered >>Please do not bump support requests<<. We have more than 20.000 customers and I myself look for open tickets about 30-40 times a day - also in the evening or at weekend, whenever I am sitting in front of my Computer. satisfied customers are the best advertisement for every company. Our response time is between 30 and 90 minutes at the working ours on 365 days a year

There are two big problems we have with this mod:

1. Mod doesn't edit .htaccess after activating Pretty URLs. So I asked for .htaccess code for following settings:

{boardname}/{boardid}
topic{topicid}

May be there is anybody worldwide who has positive experience with this mod and can give me the .htaccess code or several examples?

2.
Second problem are german umlauts (ä,ö,ü,ß)  which aren't shown in the URL. Does anybody know how to fix it?

But when smfpacks.com and Nibogo care about their customers in the way I have learnd -may be it's better to throw this 40$ mod into the rubbish...

I am very, very angry about there behavior, really! This is simply outrageous!

Now, one day later there is still no progress.

I am considering filling a criminal complaint against these guys from SFMPacks.com. They sell srap and do not give a toss for bug fixing. It is a real scandal!  >:(
Title: Re: SMFPacks SEO Mod

1. I think pretty urls are good enough for google.
2. The german issue is going to be fixed in the next release, but I cannot do a quick release that I can publish in a day or two.
3. Well I don't have as much time as you for support requests. I cannot offer them the way you want to. Sorry about that.

I won't reply any further reply in this forum as moderators are going to delete them and warn me about it. Ticket already replied

QuoteTicket already replied

In ticket-reply you say: "First of all, I never gave any time for support requests...And sorry, but I cannot offer ten minutes replies if that is what you are looking for." and nothing else which is helping me solving the problems caused from your mod.

If your are unable to support your products in an useful way you have to write this on your website that buyers know that!

Has anybody REALLY gotten this p.o.s. mod to work?

I created a test forum to see how it would work after (regretfully) purchasing it. Nothing but headaches would be the accurate description of the results I got. Downloaded the "beta" version which soiled my test forum from here to kingdom come. After having the author "tweak" the code it appeared stable enough to try on my real forum, although if I touch a single setting it appears to break on contact!

I then attempted to install it on my live forum. I ended up bouncing in and out of maintenance for several hours before I decided this thing has no right even being published in my opinion. URLs break, the error log fills up non-stop and who knows how many endless 404 errors. As you can tell by now I've reached the end of my rope fighting with this ridiculous excuse of a mod.

I purchased this strictly for the URL formatting aspect and I just discovered a freeware mod that does the same thing without any of the errors this thing creates. I'd like to hear how others have made out with this as I only feel at this point it was $50 bucks wasted on this thing.

I see the admin panel.

I totally lost my trust in this mod (SEO Pro mod from "SMFpacks"). To be honest, I'm very sick of it. So many troubles, problems, questions/support is not so good, this thing, that thing, no, please. Stop it. Stop. it. now.

I want to uninstall this mod as soon as I can. The big problem is,
I don't know how to do it, there is no instruction manual for it and more importantly, all my URL's will be broken, isn't it?

The solution
The solution would be to delete this mod and all the things that are related to it,
and then to normalise the URL's on my forum, as if they're coming out of the box.

Who can help? I'm willing to pay the person who can give me solid advice which leads to the solution, because I want to save my forum.

Please. Help.

Lite mod does not use SMF's Default SEO friendly URL instead it uses

/index.php?topic=27468.0
/index.php?board=75.0

This should be corrected because when SMF's SEO friendly URL is enabled, it should show the following in sitemap:

/index.php/board,75.0.html
/index.php/topic,27468.0.html

Is there any way to display SMF's SEO friendly URLs in sitemap?

I purchased the pro version about a month ago. Everything the other posters said about this mod is true. It's plagued with problems. Nothing worked, except for a few parts which were obviously ripped off from other mods.

I took a chance on this mod, hoping to avoid some of the problems others have had by paying for professional installation. Didn't help. As a matter of fact, this Nicolas idiot crashed my forum during installation. He then tried to say that he didn't know that another mod was installed, which was clearly visible in the installed packages.

To add insult to injury, he blamed me and my site for the problems. He was rude, arrogant and customer service was not existent. The only time Nicolas replied quickly was when the discussion was about money. You should of seen how fast he sent me a message after getting the charge back.  ;)

So if anyone else is contemplating purchasing anything from SMFPacks.com, slap yourself. Nicolas is a con artist who is stealing people's money. My suggestion to Simple Machines, remove SMFpacks mods from the site and ban Nicolas permanently. He's a lowlife that's just taking advantage of people.
