Have a question is it possible the mod not to apply to the images in the signatures.

Many thanks,

Replace "$('body')" with "$('div.post')" in spoiler.js. Or disable "FancyBox plugin" in settings.

When I did that some weird numbers appeared in the signatures on the place of the image in my test forum :-\:

Ok, thit is not a big problem. Maybe I will just disable the FancyBox in the settings. :)

Many thanks,

Or try replace "img" tag with "img2" tag (in Subs-QuickSpoiler.php) to use img2 tag for images within spoilers.

Why it just show a black button and not  "Show" text inside it when stuff is on hide and "hide" inside it when stuff is being showed. Bug? Just me?

And always this symbol ":" so if i add text it would be --> text: black button

without text   : black button

Also, when i use spoiler for small things, it still is huge, don't read the size of stuff, so the borders still show the huge size, good thing is transparent, but any way to fix/change the things i said above?

My forum http://blizzforge.com (http://blizzforge.com) in case you want to see it, in homepage is a good example. Thanks, out of that all is good.

Quick Spoiler adds next code:
Code: [Select]
<div class="sp-wrap"><div class="sp-head folded clickable"> { Spoiler Title } </div><div title="" class="sp-body"> { Text }</div></div>

But you have this:
Code: [Select]
<div style="margin:20px; margin-top:5px"><div style="margin-bottom:2px" class="smallfont"><b></b> &nbsp;<i></i>: <input type="button" onclick="if (this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display != '') { this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display = ''; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;this.innerText = ''; this.value = ''; } else { this.parentNode.parentNode.getElementsByTagName('div')[1].getElementsByTagName('div')[0].style.display = 'none'; this.innerText = ''; this.value = ''; }" style="width:60px;font-size:10px;margin:0px;padding:0px;" value="" sourceindex="5"></div><div style="margin: 0px; padding: 6px; border: 1px inset;" class="alt2"><div style="display: none;"> { Text } </div></div></div>

Did you install any other spoilers before?

You have to remove all code that added by other spoiler mod. Ask author of spoiler mod about this.

kk, i will see what i can do. Thanks for all the reply's But i still would like to know if it will read size, because no matter what i put inside, there is always this big frame.

You can change width with spoiler.css:
Code: [Select]
.sp-wrap {float:left; width: 50%}

Hello Bugo and Happy new Year,

Want to report that in the latest version of Quick Spoiler 0.99 the Fancy Box is not working. There is problem in Subs-QuickSpoiler.php. Can't figure out where but on my forum it is not working. I have your first version 0.72 and no problem with the Fancybox in it.  Hope you fix it soon. :)

Great mod!
I would like to know is it possible to put different background-colors for spoilers on different pages?
(I know that it can be changed in css, but it is same color for all spoilers)
And is it possible to adjust width of spoiler, for example on size of little button before title or on size of spoiler title?
Thanks.

Hi Bugo,

I have recently installed quick spoiler - version 0.9.1 on my new forum and there seems img2 tag is not available anymore, which I have on my other forum where version 0.8 is installed.

Downgrading from 0.9.1 to 0.8 also didn't work, spoilers wouldn't work at all after that.

Any help advice? Can I and how activate img2 on 0.9.1? Or how to downgrade it 0.8? (I guess something is left from 0.9.1 after removing it)...  or should I just wait for new upgrade?

Thanks

Just make export of your database (smf_messages table), replace all "img2" with "img", then make import back to database. It's easy.

Hi Bugo,

I created a page using SSI.php. How to make the quick spoiler work with it?
Title: Re: Quick Spoiler
Post by: Bugo on July 01, 2012, 10:25:06 PM
In Subs-QuickSpoiler.php find this block:
Code: [Select]
if (!in_array($context['current_action'], array('helpadmin', 'printpage')) && !WIRELESS)
{
$context['insert_after_template'] .= '
<script type="text/javascript">!window.jQuery && document.write(unescape(\'%3Cscript src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7/jquery.min.js"%3E%3C/script%3E\'))</script>
<script type="text/javascript">!window.jQuery && document.write(unescape(\'%3Cscript src="' . $settings['default_theme_url'] . '/scripts/jquery-1.7.1.min.js"%3E%3C/script%3E\'))</script>
<script type="text/javascript"><!-- // --><![CDATA[
jQuery(document).ready(function($){
$(".sp-body").hide();
$(".sp-head").click(function(){
$(this).toggleClass("sp-open").toggleClass("sp-closed").next().toggle();
});
});
// ]]></script>';
}
and replace it with:
Code: [Select]
$context['insert_after_template'] .= '
<script type="text/javascript">!window.jQuery && document.write(unescape(\'%3Cscript src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.7/jquery.min.js"%3E%3C/script%3E\'))</script>
<script type="text/javascript">!window.jQuery && document.write(unescape(\'%3Cscript src="' . $settings['default_theme_url'] . '/scripts/jquery-1.7.1.min.js"%3E%3C/script%3E\'))</script>
<script type="text/javascript"><!-- // --><![CDATA[
jQuery(document).ready(function($){
$(".sp-body").hide();
$(".sp-head").click(function(){

I have small problem with this spoiler. If i want to add inside [code] or [quote] it shows only first line with scrollbar :|

If inside is only regular text it shows everything. How can I fix it?

SMF 2.0.2

2.   SP-Shoutbox Notification Sound HTML5   0.5
3.   SimpleColorizer   1.1
4.   Tapatalk SMF 2.0 RC4/RC5/Final Plugin   3.0.2

Don't know why didn't check source before...
For some reason, in opening code tag there is style option:
Code: [Select]
<code class="bbc_code" style="height: 20px; ">
If I remove this part everything is correct:
Code: [Select]
style="height: 20px; "
But I can't find this part in any file :|
Title: Re: Quick Spoiler

It's added in JavaScript for certain browsers because of a bug around the way they handle the code tag (IIRC it's Webkit)

Link to Mod (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2940)

This mod based on BB2Spoiler (http://www.ppkbb3cker.ru/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=209) for phpBB.
The images that placed under the spoiler, are loading only when you click on the spoiler title.
You can change permission settings for every group.

You can set up any title for spoiler:
Code: [Select]
[spoiler=Title]Text[/spoiler]

Can you by any chance tell me how to move the button's location to right before the 'no formation' bbcode? (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fmedia.simplemachinesweb.com%2Fsmf%2Fdefault%2Fimages%2Fbbc%2Funformat.gif&hash=faa9412753212f0d8d2abe50ce7280cc)

Hi,

I still have version 0.8 on my forum, and based on what I read (see quote below) I don't know if I want to upgrade. I really like the "img2" feature, and I don't think you answered lordnex's question/problem.

I have a problem of my own, though : "img2" now seems to be out of order (today at least, but I don't know if it's not been the case permanently for some time. It only shows the loading image, forever.) Any information on the subject ? Can I fix it ?

Hi Bugo,

I have recently installed quick spoiler - version 0.9.1 on my new forum and there seems img2 tag is not available anymore, which I have on my other forum where version 0.8 is installed.

Hi Bugo. Have a problem with this great mod of yours and Im not sure I can solve it alone, so Im asking you here.

Quick spoiler worked fine until recently and now nobody is able to view spoiler content anymore. I checked all the permissions and all is fine but still nobody is able to "open it" and view its contents.

I suspect its one of the mods I added recently but I dont know which one might that be.

Since Im not sure after which one it started happening Ill post the complete list of mods installed.

Thanks in advance.

Edit: Ive just tried to inspect it with Firebug and found an error, so I hope it helps

Check image below.

Edit1: I had to uninstall it since none of the spoilers worked on the forum, so it was blocking some important stuff, and I installed Spoiler BBCODE mod and it works. I think the problem might be with Topic Rating bar modification, since I noticed that stars on index view would not show before, but once I removed this mod they are showing...

Would be nice if you could see what the problem is, cause I really like this mod and want to use it. Especially like the permission sets, which other spoiler mods dont have.

It's a jQuery versions conflict. Try new version of the mod.

Hello,
any answer for me?!

Thanks
lol, that's not at all what I want... :)

I don't want to replace img2 with img, I want img2 functionality on my forum - thumbnail that opens in popup screen on click!
Why is it omitted from latest versions?

One answer - use the latest version.

Yes, the "img2" tag doesn't work anymore.

Post by: epikurieu on January 31, 2013, 01:18:32 PM
OK, thanks for this... but using the latest version won't solve the problem I'm having, anyway!

Can you give me any information on the reason why img2 doesn'k work anymore on version 0.8?

It's a jQuery versions conflict. Try new version of the mod.

Im sory I was wrong so I deleted my previous ramblings here to avoid misleading others.

I should of check the version numbers before I opened my mouth :)

I had 0.9.3 and with 0.9.4 problem is gone. Mod works perfectly.

Thanks.

This plugin don't seems to work with Google Chrome browser, when I put a code into spoiler with Chrome the spoiler look this (look the arrow):

_http://www.pikky.net/uploads/e3e1d44bc15e879fa4edcd4dfc8530d65a1826b2.gif

in the other way works but not in this way [ spoiler ][ code ]fgkngnfkdgnfklng[ /code ][ /spoiler ]

__EDIT__
I found a temporary solution by editing /var/www/Theme/<themename>/css/index.css
I add min-height: 12em; in the CODE statement:
Code: [Select]
/* A code block - maybe PHP ;). */
code.bbc_code
{
display: block;
font-family: "dejavu sans mono", "monaco", "lucida console", "courier new", monospace;
font-size: x-small;
background: #eef;
border-top: 2px solid #999;
border-bottom: 2px solid #999;
line-height: 1.5em;
padding: 3px 1em;
overflow: auto;
white-space: nowrap;
/* Show a scrollbar after about 24 lines. */
max-height: 24em;

/*Fix google chrome*/
min-height: 12em;
}

We have installed Quick Spoiler into our new forum. It worked previously with our old forum and everything is identical with the new (we changed servers) the only thing now is that the spoiler doesn't open.

Ya may want to sort the current errors before starting something else.

Have a look at the error log counter mod for future reference.

If you guys have an issue where for example a signature gets a scrollbar when it's the only thing in the post. I have a fix here.

Go to /Themes/default/css and get the "spoiler.css" file.

Open it with Notepad++ and change this (What I pointed to with the arrow):

Code: [Select]
.sp-head {
cursor: pointer;
color: #343434;
font-size: 11px;
line-height: 15px !important;
margin-left: 6px !important;
padding: 1px 10px 3px !important;
==> width: 95% !important;
min-height: 15px;
}

The number there will be different, I think it was 97%. But it will get rid of that scrollbar. :D

I was looking to change the width of the header and spoiler box, and I used this code bit. It workd fine, but there's a small problem...
If there's an image below spoiler block and I change the width to 70em, for example, the image appears in front of the spoiler block, and not below. How can I avoid this?
Thanks.

You can change width with spoiler.css:
Code: [Select]
.sp-wrap {float:left; width: 50%}
Title: Re: Quick Spoiler
Post by: Hristo on September 16, 2013, 01:11:13 PM
Try with:
Code: [Select]
.sp-wrap {float:left; width: 50%; display: block;}
or

Code: [Select]
.sp-wrap {float:left; width: 50%; display: table;}

Title: Re: Quick Spoiler
Post by: Hristo on September 18, 2013, 06:20:01 AM
Try one of these (replace your .sp-wrap code)
Code: [Select]
.sp-wrap {
    background-color: #A8E8E8 !important;
    border: 1px solid #CCC !important;
    border-radius: 6px !important;
    display: inline-block;
    margin: 0 auto 4px !important;
}

OR

Code: [Select]
.sp-wrap {
    background-color: #A8E8E8 !important;
    border: 1px solid #CCC !important;
    border-radius: 6px !important;
    display: block;
    margin: 0 auto 4px !important;
}

Do you want the spoiler to be in the center (judging by margin: 0 auto 4px !important;)? Then use the second code and set some width, like width: 50%; If not just use margin: 0 0 4px

The problem was caused by the float: left;
Title: Re: Quick Spoiler
Post by: FragaCampos on September 19, 2013, 08:36:08 PM
Thanks again, Hristo.

The first code works fine, the second doesn't.
Still, the first bit of code gives me a small bar. How do I change the size of it?

It gets a cool effect. The top bar gets small, but when you open the spoiler, it opens the entire box. Neat.
Title: Re: Quick Spoiler
Post by: Hristo on September 20, 2013, 05:24:23 AM
Add:
Code: [Select]
width: 98%; this is just an example, you can play with the % value until it suits you.

Title: Great Mod... but one error I keep getting...
Post by: SDMiller on March 22, 2014, 02:49:11 PM
Love the spoiler mod!

In QuickSpoiler.english.php

I tried to switch
Code: [Select]
$txt['qs_no_spoiler_sorry'] = ‘Sorry you are not allowed to view spoiler contents.';
to

Code: [Select]
$txt['qs_no_spoiler_sorry'] = ‘Only registered users are allowed to view spoiler contents.';
But doing this crashes the server, and causes this error page to display in its place:

Quote
Template Pares Error!
It seems something has gone sour on the forum with the template system. This problem should be temporary, so please come back later and try again. If you continue to see this message, please contact the administrator.

You can also try refreshing this page.

Hmm... why would such a small text change in the QuickSpoiler.english.php crunch the whole server.

Fortunately, it was quickly fixed by simply uploading the original QuickSpoiler.english.php to the server.

Thinking maybe it was a coincidence, I changed it again, and unfortunately it consistently and reproducibly crunches the server.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

Erm. I wish I could be helpful, but it works perfectly on my forum... so I can't really offer any specific advice how to get it working.

I installed it in the usual fashion:
1. Downloaded the zip to my computer.
2. Package Manager/Download Packages/Package to Upload/Choose File
3. Install
4. Activate

Boom, it works. You can see it in action here (http://mahjong.us.com/forum/index.php/topic,163.msg242.html#msg242).

What's beautifully simple about the mod is you can put ANYTHING between the tags, and it will be hidden until clicked... images, audio, videos, juggling monkeys (if you have that plug-in).   ;)

It's really impressive. I can't image how another similar mod could be better.

My two cents, hope its helpful.

Yeah... I have it set so you have to be a member to see the hidden part... but you could set it so guests can see too.

That's the whole point of my post here in this thread... I want to replace the "Sorry you're not allowed" to say "Only registered members may see"

 ;)

Edit: I set to to guests to view so that you can check it out.

P.S. I got the text change working... was smart quotes... messed it up.

Google Chrome messes up code blocks inside all spoilers I've tried to work with so far. It adds a style="height: 20px; " with javascript which is rather annoying!
I've found that the best way to deal with this issue is to simply overrule the javascript.

Add following code to the .bbc_code element in your theme's index.css file:
Code: [Select]
height: 100% !important;

I think this is the normal mod's behavior. If you want each spoiler on new row try this:

First, make a backup. Then open this file: your_forum/Themes/default/css/spoiler.css Under .sp-wrap you should see
Code: [Select]
display: inline-block;Change it to
Code: [Select]
display: table;OR
Code: [Select]
display: block;Save

If that does not help I will need a link to a post with such "error".

Working on a forum using Quick Spoiler 1.1 in 2.0.14.  Spoilers open normally in Curve, not in Bad Company theme.  Spoiler bar displays same in both, but nothing happens in BC when clicked.

Fixed it.  Found the solution here (https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=555750.msg3939529#msg3939529).

Fix for 2.0.14 and up so it won't spam the error log with "expected to be a reference, value given" errors anymore.

It does use 0.9.4 code though instead of 1.1 code. Don't know if it really makes a difference.

Just install it with compatibility mode.
So you've tested it on RC2 w/ compatibility mode and it's working fine?
