Title: vB3.8>smf DB username needed
Post by: 5hocK on November 12, 2011, 08:09:05 AM
Hi
I'm getting this error
QuoteThe error that was received from the Database was: Table 'cplay.cplayuser' doesn't exist
I think smf cannot access the vB database because it has no permission (from what I've read elsewhere) How do I set permissions?

Here's a screenshot - http://sub.net23.net/test/vbtosmf.JPG

Just to add, the table does exist, the paths used are correct, no db pass is needed

Any help much appreciated

Thanks

You can always add SMF user to vBulletin Database via your panel. Its not a php work or similar thing, you can only do it via your control panels

If you mean database  username then they are both the same in vB and smf, where would I add this in panel anyway? Do you mean phpmyadmin? I thought database username using xampp was standard 'root' unless manually changed - or do you mean something completely different and I'm way off here?

if you are using local (i mean your own computer) yes all are root but on server things are different, you need to add user to mther db.
