Title: [Help] VB4 (4.1.5) to SMF 2 Import
Post by: MK4A52 on December 08, 2011, 04:16:59 PM
What are the proper procedures in importing VB4 to SMF.

I want to keep all my threads, users, and posts.

I believe SMF is overall, much better in terms of stability, speed, and customization.

Regards.

I have converted my site from vBulletin 4.1.8. Please use files attached here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=404729.msg2899909#msg2899909

To avoid resetting password for your users, edit your Sources/LogInOut.php as described here: http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=404729.msg2897852#msg2897852

Also, if you have attachment, move it to database before (vBulletin admincp > Attachment Storage Type), else your attachment will be messed after converting.

For redirection, you may take a look of redirection script here: http://www.adminaddict.net/forum/smf/switched-vbulletin-smf-5171/#post61825
