I have noticed that some forums have their chosen membergroup color when the person in the membergroup makes the post instead of just being the default color. Do I have to upload something for this? If so please give me the download link.

Powered by SMF 2.0.1 is the clue.
Also your portal needs updating. The current version is 2.3.4
Both mods work on 2.0.1 although you may have to look through the mods topics first.
