Hello.
I just started up a brand-new SMF forum install and added the 2.0.2 patch as a package mod install.
Whenever I try to logout, I receive this error.
Apart from other threads I have read regarding this issue, I receive ZERO issues when logging in or entering the Admin section. I login perfectly on my first attempt.
I've tried re-naming my cookie in the Server Settings, as well as deleting my own cookies from my browser.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Your site is dropping two cookies, one from your domain, and one from the forum subdomain. That seems to be causing the problem. Try this -
Admin -> Server Settings -> Cookies and Sessions -> Use subdomain independent cookies. Check that, and see what happens.

Ok, I've unchecked subdomain independent cookies - that makes it worse. I can logout by deleting the two cookies, but not with that option enabled. Uninstalled 2.0.2 patch, same problem in 2.0.1. Reinstalled 2.0.2. If I block cookies in FF, I can login but can't logout. Don't know why the forum drops the second cookie, but believe that's the problem. Also getting the session verification error after a successful login if I previously logged out by deleting cookies.
Chased this problem on another forum this past week, and was able to fix it, but yours is a clean install, and it's behaving differently here. I'll post a bug report and see if anyone else can pick up on this.

Don't fool with your php.ini settings. Backup your /Sources/Load.php and do the SMF Code Fix - make sure you get all of them. Let us know the result.
Just finished doing this as stated.
No change in issue.

Did you delete cookies and clear cache?
Yes.
Same as before - can't logout without deleting cookies. Attach your Load.php.
Here ya go.
It's correct - didn't work. Which version of php is your server running?

I have the same issue is there a fix for this problem as it is getting tiresome
Been unable to duplicate the problem. All of the affected forums I've looked at are different, and are affected differently. If you post a link to your board, I'll register and see what it's doing.
I have this problem, it happens when I log in on one computer and then also log in on another with the same user.
This first session can not be logged out of after that. It just throws this error - shouldn't it automatically log out the first session when the second is created (or allow both)?
