i am just asking if anyone can make a shoutbox for 2.0, that will be under the index.
All the other shoutboxes dont work for my forum or does not appear.

You have to do the template edits.
I would suggest using the SMFPacks Shoutbox because it looks nice.
I tried using SMFpacks shoutbox but i just didnot appear on my forum.
I am not good at doing template edits too...

Actually you are wrong.
The link will show you how to apply the changes necessary so the mod will work on yourforum.

No, the mod isn't required for 2.0. Go to Admin > Packages > Browse Packages. At the bottom is an 'Advanced' link, click that.
Does the same basic thing.
Note that the mod you got is for 1.1.x only (like the page in Old Fossil's signature says) - you don't have 1.1.x.
I emulated my 2.0 version to 1.3.2, to download the mod called NChat, but it keeps on saying that it is the wrong version or corrupt.
The emulation versions you want are either 2.0or 2.0.1 for this mod.
eg if your forum is version 2.0.2 and the mod staes upto 2.0 then you would place 2.0 in the box
You're not supposed to use the mod's version number (the mod is version 1.3.2)
All SMF mods contain a list of SMF versions that they work with. NChat for example says it works with: 2.0 RC4, 2.0 RC5, 2.0, 2.0.1
Which means if you install it on 2.0.2, you need to put in one of *those* versions to make it work, so that it thinks it's SMF 2.0.1 or whatever when installing.

However as an alternative why not look at a portal mod and use their shoutbox?

One portal messed my whole forum up nearly, so i had to delete the mod.
I tried all the portals, not one single one worked.
I am running smf 2.0.2 and simple portal 2.3.4 with the portals chat/shout...it does work,

It was tinyportal, it had a problem, because my categories were all down the side, and it did not look nice.
There are other Portal mods. A qick use of the Search function will help.

There are several portal mods, not just TinyPortal, and you can actually change its configuration, rather than just removing it because it isn't exactly how you want it out of the box. If you're expecting it to magically be correct without doing any work, I'm afraid you're going to be sadly disappointed.
