I'm getting this on two separate forums:

Server currently undergoing maintenance. Webmaster: please contact support.
Before contacting my host, is there anyone here who has had this before and know what causes it? I had just randomly went to my forum and checked the other and they were both like this, I haven't installed nay mods/up[graded etc. its just randomly happened. So I can't get on at all, is there a file to download in filezilla to back up my forums?
sounds like your host is doing some maintenance on the server, so you should contact them first.
Could be a mysql error, my other pages are working fine (plain HTML pages).
well your host would know for sure, otherwise we can guess at what they may or may not be doing.
I thought server admins would send an email prior to go into maintenance. At least mine does and I ve never seen a 503.
I guess it depends on the host.
My forums were blocked because there was a LOT of activity from a particular IP address, hopefully they'll get that IP blocked and unblock my forums.
since there is nothing else we can do to help you, i am marking this thread solved.
