Hey all,
I'm not sure where to post this question (either in the 2.x board or here)... But here's what I'm looking for.
When guests browse my forum, they no longer see the message "Guests cannot view attachments", etc. Has this feature disappeared from 2.0.2? And if so, is there a mod for it? Right now, when guests view my forum, they just think people have forgotten to attach the files since it doesn't warn then or anything.
And yes, I've searched the forum, but couldn't find the answer... :(
What I want is a message telling guests they cannot view the attachments.
How does this look?
http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1180
It should work with your version, if you read this post:
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=239124.msg3158103#msg3158103
and install it under emulation.
But, in case it causes problems, read my sig, before you install it, woncha? ;)

Love your sig! ;)
Thanks, I'm gonna try it. I'll report back...
OK, I tried installing that, and it doesn't work. I can't read any posts, it just gives me errors. I've attached two screenshots. First one is when I'm browsing as a guest. Second is when I'm logged in.
What happens if you use the SMF default theme?
Hi, line 568 should be: </div>';
Changing that might give an error further down. If it does add the following just before the line causing the error. It should probably be after a curly brace "}"
echo '
Or just attach that file to a post. :)

I don't think I have the default theme anymore? We only use the New_Balance theme...
The file is shown in the second image which displays the error. Display.template.php in the new balance theme around line 569.

Ohhh! That file! Lol. OK. Here it is! :)
Line 569 is just
</div>
So, as suggested, I've changed it to:
</div>';
and attached it.
Let's see how it goes. ;)
No... that didn't work. :( Here's what it looks like now...
