I'm looking for something like what StatPress (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/statpress/) is for Wordpress? It counts visitors/spiders, shows referrers, shows keywords from SEs, etc. The only mods I see similar use Google analytics (don't get me started on reason not to use Google's analytics). Is there anything like what I'm looking for?
Not that I know of. :(
What do you want this info for?
If you go to CPanel (If you have it) and look under the "Logs" section, "Awstats" gives you all that (Again, if you have that).

Really? Any halfway serious webmaster uses this info for all kinds of things. There are like a couple of dozen Wordpress plugins that do this. CPanel has
some of it, but it's not even close to being in a user-friendly format and there's no real analytics to go with the raw data.
I'm obviously not even half-decent , then.
C'est la vie. ;)
Heh, yeah K@ that was kinda uncalled for. Apologies. But I'm still really surprised there's not something available. :(
I've not even seen anyone else asking about something, like this.
Rather than an SMF tool, it seems, to me, that you want a kinda server tool, independent of whatever software you have on it.
why not use google analytics? that is what many use and there is a mod on the mod site to help install it as well.
I was really trying to avoid the whole Google discussion. But a lot of webmasters have issues with Google. There are many (myself included) who believe or fear that they use the data you give them in unethical ways. They either share or sell the data. They use your own data against you in terms of pricing for Adwords & Adsense. They use the data against you in terms of search rankings. I'm putting on my tinfoil hat here, but i just don't believe in giving Google any more power than it already has.
I couldn't agree more, as it 'appens.
