I faintly recalled having this Mod years ago, but tonight I realized that may have been a previous system I used.
After searching all the terms I could think of to find it "again", I think I can safely post this request...
Post-Dated Posts
"Post-Dating" something means that you put a future date on it, and it does not work until then.
So when posting, under the "Attachments and other options" settings, there would be some drop-downs:
[MONTH]/[DAY]/[YEAR]
If left alone, it would do nothing, however if you set a date there, the post does not show at all until that date!
Usefulness...
Here are just a handful of reasons why this small mod should exist:
1.) You could run a webcomic on your forum without any trouble. Just post the month's strips and set the dates... they'll be revealed on the date they're made for!
2.) You have a Trivia game or some other such event on your forum. Do it once and move on with other things by entering the question thread and the answer thread at the same time - setting the answer thread to post later!
3.) Let's say you're a control freak forum owner, and you don't want anyone to know you've gone on vacation. Maybe you're the only Admin and if they knew, they might start acting more crazy. Set up a series of threads that will post on dates while you're away!
4.) Keep your forum active by post-dating a bunch of interesting discussion topics. (Like: "Who's your favorite Musician?" and "What do you think of the forum so far?") Set them all to post at different dates over the course of the year, and conversation will flow while all you did was spend one night writing topics!
And so much more!
So yeah, please... this mod would be great! Anyone up for it?
