Title: Upgradeing help needed

Hi i am using smf 2.0.1 and i want to upgrade with the version with smf 2.0.2

I have no idea about it.

So tell me upgradetion step by step

I read this http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Upgrading but not clear

Upload the SMF 2.0.2 Update pack via FTP.
If done, open the following link: yoursite.com/update.php!
Then you can begin the update.

It's so simple...

you can also use the package manager to do the upgrade, and all the work will be done for you.

i f i do it through package manager the backup needed or not?

it never hurts to do a backup, which you should do weekly anyway if not more often.

How to get file backup through Filezila Client Or any FTP.

if you want a complete backup you cant do it via ftp as you cant backup your database by ftp

No bro i only backup my site files not complete backup.

The easiest way to update from one minor version to the next would be directly from the admin panel. It should give you a notice to update, including a link you can follow to update.

The next option would be to update like installing a mod. Just grab the patch from http://custom.simplemachines.org/upgrades/ and install it like any modification through the package manager.
