I just created a forum specific forum and would like to know if there's a way to customize the background or add a custom header per board?
I'd like to make certain things in the womens forum (the pink forum) colored pink.. or add a different background

SMF allows you to apply a custom theme (overriding the overall default) to a specific board. So just make a copy of your theme and change it as you like, then go in to the settings for the corresponding board and set it to use the new theme.
