Title: how to undo a revoked membership
Post by: jayashjian on May 06, 2012, 03:21:08 PM
I am an administrator on a website tonight forum, which is linked to simple machines.  I was trying to help one of my users get into his account.  I clicked on revoke.  Is there any way to undo this action?  I can not find any way to do this in the settings.  Thanks

Hi, welcome to SMF! :) If you have deleted his account (in the membership approval section), just convince him to create a new account. :) Not entirely sure what you mean though, do you mean that he/she hasn't made any posts and that you revoked his membership request?

He did make some posts.  He was an active member and I was trying to get him access to his account because he couldn't log in.  Instead of him using the "forgot password" option, I was trying to get in there for him.  He is not very computer literate.  I selected revoke member....don't ask me why, but there is no option to undo that action.

What is "revoke"? ??? I don't recognize that a a standard SMF command.

We have delete, and ban... But no revoke, that I know of....

It sounds like a Website Tonight command to me...., not that I'd know, I've never used it....
