Title: Help! Not getting email notifications when new members sign up

For the past week I am not getting email notifications when new members sign up. Can someone tell me why and how to fix this? Also members not getting notification emails when someone replies to their posts.

Are you using phpmail or smtp?

check with your host regarding the php mail or smtp servers....

Did you install any mods recently?

I am going to sound stupid, but I don't know if it's php mail or smtp. I use gmail.

I haven't installed any mods ever.

I recently received an email about a a security patch with version numbers: SMF 1.0.23, SMF 1.1.17 and SMF 2.0.3. I am going to try to do that in the wee morning hours.

The mail settings are in your SMF admin...
