Title: Using SMF 2.1 / jQuery
Post by: literky on January 09, 2013, 04:56:50 PM
Hi there!

I'm in creating of my forum (template for now), and I must have newest software. I don't like when I must edit something because in new version something is going in another way. Hope you know what I mean. My bad English is here xD.

I always create sites first on my XAMPP, so upgrading for about every 2 days isn't problem. Have you (creators) some doubts about creating forum on this "beta"?

And second question: Is SMF good for jQuery library? I saw on MyBB that when I include jQ, other scripts (created by MyBB team) goes down. That's why I'm here.

Here's a great topic on SMF 2.1:

The category is the developer's blog, too. Might be worth having a look around in there.
They don't recommend using this on a production site of course. And jQuery is included in 2.1. Fun times and welcome to SMF. :)
