Title: Next SMF to contain new standard themes?
Post by: shteca on January 31, 2013, 10:48:15 AM
I have used WordPress in the past and I loved it. I liked the way they kept updating the standard theme to look modern and with the times. They also have a huge catalog of themes to go with this standard theme.

Will the next update of SMF have a new theme or a few themes to select when setting up a forum.

Main theme I want to see added is a Mobile site that actually works.

SMF 2.1 does contain a new theme. Whether it will contain a mobile theme is unknown, but I would imagine work would already have started if it is - and I can't seem to find anything in 2.1 that indicates there is a new mobile theme. (Though technically, WAP and WAP2 *still work*. Depends on your vague definition of 'actually works', and that probably includes things like attachments which not all phones support through the web browser.)
