Title: Visual Warnings on Posts
Post by: William Wolfe on March 07, 2013, 08:08:21 PM
I understand that SMF isn't suppose to be a free version of XenForo, but I really like their visual warnings on posts. Here's an example:

I searched for something similar in the mods section, but the two mods I found were extremely outdated.

Would require a surprisingly substantial overhaul of the warning system in SMF to make that happen, for the simple reason that while you can issue warnings to a given % and limit user privileges through it, warnings are not internally tied to posts; even if you issue a warning for a post, there is no record of it.

We use the admin and moderator comment mod... It puts a colored box marked moderators note into a post.

Good point.

That looks like the closest thing available. Thanks.

Ah, Moderator and Administrator Comment Tags (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=2104), it's been a while. Just remember to get the moderator to post it in their own posts, and not edit another user's posts because even though I explained it when I originally wrote it, a lot of people seemed to think it should have prevented the user editing their own posts...
