According to SMF costumization Team, it's ok. I've the same reaction as you, though. The code is required because some browsers with JavaScript disabled will display the JavaScript code when it's not enclosed in those tags.

very nice mod i installed this mod recent version 2.0.6 working fine .. :) thanks ya very nice work.. long day waiting for this type mod.. already i am using another but that one resizing my images .. my users don't want do that.. so this one fine :)

Probably not anymore... AFAIK ImageShack changed their API (and the service is now paid)

As you might have noticed, the mod I pointed you is not from our modsite. As such, you need to contact the authors in their own site for support on it
ImageShack is a problem, this server deletes old images if you not paid
eventually ends up wrecking your forum
