I have problem with my forum


When i try to install finnish languange in Add languange and when i draw Finnish To the text field and press enter comes White backround

PS: By the way the forum works well

Are you adding the right one? If your forum's set to use UTF-8, you need to install the UTF-8 language pack. Otherwise, you need the other one.

If the right one is installed, can you use your FTP program to check that the installed language files are read-enabled? Or, you can probably put that right by going to Admin>Packages>File permissions and setting that to "Standard".

Check something, for me, would you?

Ask your host if they have "mod_security" enabled, would you? If it is, get them to disable it. Can you also ask them to make sure that you have full CHOWN ownership of the files on your site?

My host is 000webhost.com, But my old forum was work well, I delete it becouse it was useless.

Just tell me what should i do Go to package manager and change permissions to what?

There's your problem, right there, I believe.

Ask them to increase your available memory. But, I suspect they'll say "No", or expect you to pay them more money to do that. :(

find a good paid host 000webhost has to much trouble and mysql issues disconnected on peak hours !!

Try asking your host. Maybe they will allow you to use more RAM. You never know, until you ask them. :)

When you say "white background", do you mean you're getting the forum content, but no formatting (black text on white background)? If so, it means your .css file(s) are not being read. Go into Admin and disable host name lookup -- sometimes that will help. Let us know one way or the other.

I misunderstood. :(

You can install the language file, manually, if you get a white screen when trying to download it.

Finnish UTF-8: http://download.simplemachines.org/index.php?thanks;filename=smf_2-0-4_finnish-utf8.zip

Just dearchive the zip and copy the file and directory to the root of your forum. :)

When i try to install Minecraft_ok_theme that theme what i link to you comes Unable to load the 'main_above' template.

Why?

The Minecraft theme is for SMF v2.0. So, it might not work with v2.0.4.

You don't need to install languages to custom themes. Just the default theme. All themes use files from the default.

Amm... I ask Where i place languages files

I dont understand WHAT folder Themes default something?

I don't know how to make it any clearer, I'm afraid. That theme SHOULD work with v2.0.4.

Let's check something. Using FTP, have a look in your "Themes" directory. In there, you'll see another directory called "Minecraft", or something similar. Is there another directory, inside that? If so, what is it called?

crafting, please remember I am not native finnish speaker, I learnt the language when I lived in Turku for a year, and im very rusty and havent spoken it in 4 years now.

Translated texts are working fine. If i post something, öä turns to "?". This has nothing to do with lang files. Its something else.  What are your language settings in admin panel?
