Hello,
Back in 2010 we announced the release of the Beta of the new SMF Online Manual (wiki) (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=411042.0), this went down a success with many new people coming forward to contribute to the wiki. Then in 2012 the SMF Online Manual (wiki) (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=468555.0) was released as a gold [final] release.
We are proud to announce that the wiki has received a make over (http://wiki.simplemachines.org/), that should make it easier to navigate and find what you are looking for.
Recently the documentation team appointed a new Documentation Co-ordinator, and we wish to take this time to thank AngelinaBelle for all her hard work as the lead of the doc team for the past several years. With your help and feedback, we aim to improve all the pages of the Wiki, to bring the high quality you would expect.
If you have any comments about the wiki, be sure to let us know in the SMF Documentation Help (http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=202.0) board.
Thanks
To make it slightly easier for members taking a look, do you think each section ought to be listed in alphabetic order?
Or, would that be too much spoon-feeding? ;)
I don't s'pose it needs it, really.
I am not sure alphabetic order would matter too much. the lists of links are not that long anyway.
Fairy Nuff.
Just summat that struck me, tiz all.
It looks purdy! :)
i am glad you like it, took some work but i think it is well worth it.
It looks very good Illori thank you :)
Now it's looking much better, good job :)
Illori's done a great job with this. It's very impressive, and a massive improvement over the old version.
As for alphabetical order, I think that it's okay as it stands. It's something that could be considered when everything else about the Wiki is perfect, and we're all twiddling our thumbs :D :D.
i hope we get to the point that the wiki is perfect, although then that would mean i would out of a "job"
The new wiki is fantastic~! Very sharp.
Many "Thanks!" to Illori and to all the rest of you who do so much for us who don't know how to code, etc. Each of you deserve a great deal more appreciation 8) than you publicly receive.
me no likee.... Kindred no like change.......
anyway... nice job.
My only suggestion is perhaps adding the "spam" FAQ link to the front page FAQ section? :)

Nah, because there will always be things that need changing, or updating, for new versions of SMF ;).
Noted. We'll see for translations so. ;)
the main page can only be translated manually, it is not part of the translation extension nor is the template used on the page.
Great work guys, you're the best! And congratulations with your lead position, Illori. :)
thank you. it was some challenging work to get the page done, but i think it is worth the effort.
Looks good and easier to use.
