Is it possible to remove post counts from my forum? I've looked at the Online Manual but don't see anything on this subject.

Which one? It seems the info center is not there and you moved the post count to the top.
Which one? If possible I would like to remove the individual post counts for members of the forum.
I've never noticed having a info center. Members, Posts & Topics count have always been at the top since downloading the forum software. I didn't move them... I'm so computer challenged I wouldn't know how to do that. :-[

You don't sound dumb at all, and looking in the wiki before asking your question, was, on the contrary, a very smart thing to do :).
I thought that post count could be turned off as part of the standard forum software, but I can't find such an option, so I'm guessing that I must have dreamt that one. As a result, you might find yourself in need of a mod, in which case, having a search through the mods section (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/) of the site might help you.
I've found a couple, which may be of help:
