Yesterday we converted our vBulletin 4.2 forum to smf 2.0.5. After the changeover we seem to have lost threads, usergroups and PMs are not showing unless you click page one then refine by date. The itrader feedback has went the wrong way ( the person who gave the bad feedback has the negative score)
None of our members can post due to the usergroup (full members) not being there.
Has anyone come across this before or have any idea how to fix the problem

For the first problem try going to admin > maintenance > routine
and run the recount and the fix errors tasks.
For the permissions, probably you have to setup all the permissions again...
The "full members" seems to be a post-based group (unless it comes from IPB terminology), in that case you may check the "regular members" group.
