I was trying to add an image in front of the administrator member group, so I added <img src="-img url-"> but it didn't work. So when I tried to remove that from the group name I got this error:

As you can see, there is no content. Normally you would be given the option to change the group name, group image, etc.
So since I'm not able to fix this that way, I'm wondering if it's possible to manually change the group name in the smf source files. Is that possible?
You may use phpmyadmin and try to modify group_name field for the group you want to fix in smf_membergroups table.

Hee, hee. Somebody does this every couple of months. If you put html in the membergroup name field, it buggers the edit function. As Ricky suggested, you have to go into the database and remove the code from the field.
Haha yeah, at least I now know not to put HTML in the membergroup name.
