Title: how can I drop a little html snippet into my forum ??
Post by: TheDragon on October 01, 2013, 06:03:17 PM
I want a little "text box" that I drop a snippet of java into the text box ?

I do not care where it goes - which ever place is easier to code
(ie spots 1-5 / header logo bar / inside a category ??

All of those are index.template.php

To further help, you need to actually define a place :)

Favicon & Custom Global HTML by BK Modding (http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=1510)

Adds favicon support and a custom html section.
Adds the HTML section under the menu.

Also, the ad mod can be used for more than just ads. (Thought I would throw that in there.)

Also, if use a portal, then a block could be used. :)

Also my guess is that you're wanting to add JavaScript rather than Java...in which case if you don't even know what language it is, I'd be extra careful. You could break your forum.

finally tried this mod
worked PERFECT
will now try to hand tweak the CSS ( or whatever) to remove so much white space above below the new inserted text using the mod
