Title: Sort By IP to See if members double register
Post by: hawkman on September 28, 2005, 08:18:25 PM
Is there a way to sort members by IP so I can quickly see if members register under more than one name?  (same IP for more than one member name)

not sure about that, but you can do the same for posts.

if you track the ip and scroll down, there will be a box that says:

"members posting from this ip address"

If you are using 1.1 RC 1 you can go to your Admin Control Panel > Members

You can sort by IP there.

Same with 1.0.5 just click the column header, it is a sort button. Click once for ascending order and click a second time for decending order.

Simple things delight the simple minded  :D  Thank You! :-[  I have been on every admin panel area hundreds of times, except that single area.  I always figured it was like the members on the bottom of the front page.  This opens up a whole new world  :D

I am happy, embarassed, and amazed I missed the obvious all at the same time.

Thanks again Amacythe

Remember, the majority of users will have dynamic IP's so it won't be very conclusive.
