Otsikko: Search options, match whole word ONLY
Kirjoitti: Biology Forums - helmikuu 03, 2014, 01:59:49 IP
Is there an option for users where, if they tick "MATCH WHOLE WORD ONLY", it will try to match the search query with the exact word?

For example, currently, if I search 'love', it will also find the word "Glove", which is very annoying. I even tried putting 'love' in quotes "love", but still get results with glove.

Context is so useful. What version of SMF? What type of index is being used?

Found a mod that can do this: http://custom.simplemachines.org/mods/index.php?mod=887

Thanks

Never mind that my question is still relevant because on larger forums, fulltext index isn't the way to go anyway for performance...

I love being this useful, reminds me why I got involved with SMF in the first place.
