Hi,
i have installed the SMF 2.1 Alpha. The Installer fails in Step 5 (create the admin account) with a blank screen when i click the continue button to create the account.
I have filled all the nessesary and correct data in the fields.
The fact is that the forum is installed but without the admin account and a registration page is not available.

Any errors in the PHP error log?

I have not looked in the error log yet.
If you would, go have a peak at the error_log and let us know what you see in there.
On latest build it seems fixed. I didn't encounter any error.
I just ran into the same problem. When it came time to create the admin account, It fails and gives the following on the screen.
Warning: array_combine(): Both parameters should have an equal number of elements in /test/smf21alpha/Sources/Subs-Db-mysql.php on line 697
Fatal error: The database value you're trying to insert does not exist: member_name(install.php-1479) in /test/smf21alpha/Sources/Subs-Db-mysql.php on line 762
If I visit the forum, I am able to register a new account but no admin account exist.
This was from the following zip file: SimpleMachines-SMF2.1-cc91318.zip and I tried it twice.
Also fails with the zip file titled SMF2.1-release-2.1.zip
