Doing some modification on SMF 1.1.x (on forum stats page)...
How to get (simple way?) topic name & topic starter name - if I have the id of this topic (e.g. 1743.0)?

The easiest way is to do so is a query to smf_topics, joined with smf_messages and smf_members...
Probably not the most efficient one, I'm affraid, but it will serve the purpose ;)
