How-To
Options for the custom copyright, social icons, footer menu and adding extra menu to the main menu can be found in the theme settings. Browse to Admin -> Configuration -> Current Theme.

If you are using custom option in the main menu and want to change the name of 'Home' (n the main menu) to something else then browse to /Themes/Lucid_Dreams/languages/ThemeStrings.english.php. Edit the 4th line as per your need.
$txt['home'] = 'Home';

You should edit only the 'Home' part and not the other part. For example, if you want to rename 'Home' to 'Community' then it should look like the following.
$txt['home'] = 'Community';

This really is an awesome theme, and honestly one of the best ones I've ever seen. All installed mods worked right out of the gate when I installed the theme, and I really like what you did with new members waiting approval and reported post notifications too.

The only question I have; since they are already in the navigation menu, is there a way to hide or remove the additional home, search, messages and logout icons in the top, upper left? Just seems a little redundant to have them on the index page twice.

Other than that, very impressive.

There are no such options and I don't have any idea to add such options. Those are like quick access to home, search etc. when you scroll away from the main menu and also, to me, the top navigation bar looked better with those icons. :P

But you are free to edit the theme in any way you want as the theme is licensed under "UNLICENSE" license. :P

If you want to hide them only in the index page, then you should add rules in index.template.php like

if (board index) {
hide this icon
}
else {
show this icon
}

and so on for each icon that you want to hide.

If you want to remove them then you should remove the respective code from index.template.php.

When the theme menu is clciked it opens the link in a new page rather than the same page. Can you do something about that. if a member clicks on home, then forums or a menu sub link it just opens new pages..

AFAIK, the tabs have a fixed positioning. If you want to add a tab in any other place, you need to follow the usual way to add buttons in 2.0

I was wondering how to get the top breadcrumb back, once you are in a post you can't go back have to go to forum.

In index.template.php in your themes folder look for:

// The main content should go here.
echo '
<div id="main_content-wrap">
<div id="main_content">';

// Custom banners and shoutboxes should be placed here, before the linktree.

// Show the navigation tree.
// theme_linktree();

Uncomment theme_linktree(); and it will show up again.

The breadcrumbs are already displayed at the bottom too, but it's easy to miss.

How to add more dropdown links on level 2?
There is a mod "unlimited menulevels", but then I've to edit subs.php manually. This kind solution is much better, where admin could add new links via admin panel.

And yes, we will pay little bit if you can make customized version for us ;) Example:
- 4 level 1
- 15 on level 2

The custom copyright in this theme, is not meant to replace the default, but to be an added copyright.
Say for example, like I do, the license on content.

Or if your site contains info on something else, that requires you to make a disclaimer or add their copyright info.

Look for this in index.css
Note: Will have to edit each color variant, too.

/* The wrappers
* ------------- */

#main_content-wrap, #footer-wrap, #header-wrap, #main_menu_area-wrap
{
width: 90%;
margin: auto;
clear: both;
padding: 0;
min-height: 100%;
min-width: 764px;
max-width: 2300px;
}

#the_user_menu-wrap, #the_breadcrumb_menu-wrap
{
width: 95%;
margin: auto;
clear: both;
padding: 0;
min-height: 100%;
min-width: 764px;
max-width: 2300px;
}

That would leave a gap, between a stationary bar and the bottom of the screen.

Yes, that's what I need. I'm putting a twitter marquee that will scroll underneath of it so I need to raise it up so it isn't over top of it.
Title: Re: Lucid Dreams

Best way, would be to just add the twitter marquee in that, expanding it.
Should be able to add it to the code in the index.template.php file.
May need to edit the index.css file to expand it.

However, you would have to edit the index.css for each color variation.

1. Your code is messed up somehow, and causes Template Parse Error.
2. Themes/Lucid_Dreams/index.template.php

Code (Find) Select
echo '<div id="the_breadcrumb_menu"><div id="the_breadcrumb_menu-wrap">

Code (Replace With) Select
echo '<div id="the_breadcrumb_menu"><div align="center">YOUR CODE HERE</div><div id="the_breadcrumb_menu-wrap">

You need to get the code you have fixed, first, or you will get nothing but the Template Parse Error.

Post by: Burke ♞ Knight on October 19, 2014, 05:46:42 AM
Some people may not want them, as well as some may not want half of what is in it, as it is.
There's a lot of code in the theme, due to the OA, adding the custom 3 menu tabs into it, all coded in the index template.
I may put out a lighter version, single color, without the menu addon, and see.

For sure, but you can also add an enable/disable option.
It's fine if you want to keep it a mod, there's no problem.

Oh, they are enable/disable as they are.
However, I do plan on them being in the next release, when I do one.
I just did not want to force people to update just for that small addition. With mods and personal edits, I'd much rather all theme makers thought of that, when adding features only...lol

Hello,

I just want to say this theme is FANTASTIC. Great job, everything installed & upgraded perfectly.

However, I have a slight problem. The ONLY problem matter of fact. The "offline" & "online" icons.. When the member is offline, it displays a little white box with black outline next to the username of the user in a topic/post. When a user is online, the box does not show green with black outline like it should. It displays in text, "online" in a blank box with black outline.. Any way to fix this?

Regards,

- Braxton

It could be that the image did not upload right, or got corrupted.
Try to look at the image via your hosting control panel's file manager.

You may need to open the zip file, and re-upload the image.

You will need to edit the index.template.php file.

Find and remove the following. (Be sure to do a BACKUP first!)

echo '<div id="the_breadcrumb_menu"><div id="the_breadcrumb_menu-wrap">

<div class="floatleft">';
if (empty($context['linktree']) || count($context['linktree']) == 1) {
echo '
<ul class="the_user_menu_box">
<li>', $context['common_stats']['total_posts'], ' ', $txt['posts_made'], ' - ', $context['common_stats']['total_topics'], ' ', $txt['topics'], ' - ', $context['common_stats']['total_members'], ' ', $txt['members'], '</li>
</ul>';
}
// Display the navigation tree in the breadcrumb menu
else
theme_linktree();
echo '
</div>

<div class="floatright">';
echo '
<ul class="arrow">
<li class="arrow_up"><a href="#scroll-to-top" title=" ', $txt['go_up'], '" onclick="ScrollToTop()"></a></li>
<li class="arrow_down"><a href="#scroll-to-bottom" title=" ', $txt['go_down'], '" onclick="ScrollToBottom()"></a></li>

That's as step-by-step as I can give you, as I do not know what type of control panel your host has, or your FTP ways with that host.

Plain and simple, the images are in the theme's images folder. You upload the two images, NOT the whole theme, as that would UNDO any mods installed to the theme.
