Otsikko: Is there *any* way to copy or move boards/topics/posts/users from SMF to SMF?

Outside of the mergeSMF.php script, which I couldn't get to work, I was wondering if there are *any* other options when it comes to copying from one install of SMF to another?

Here's my scenario: we had large Forum A which was divided into boards/topics about hobby 1, hobby 2, and general. We decided to move hobby 1 to its own SMF install, so did a full copy of the database onto a fresh Forum B install, then deleted all of hobby 2 and general from Forum B, and deleted all of hobby 1 from Forum 2. This left us with:

Forum A - Hobby 2, General
Forum B - Hobby 1

Both forums use the same database of users (up to the point of the split).

Fast forward a year and we now want to shut down Forum A and move all of the General boards/topics to Forum B. Keep in mind that most of the users that once contributed to General exist on both forums.

I take it this really isn't possible at all? mergeSMF.php would seem to be the only attempt at moving data between database tables. I'm prepared for it to be impossible, but just thought I'd ask one last time.

Thanks.

It could be possible, I mean, it's "just" a matter of program it...

It's a serious amount if work, though...
