What's the easiest way to add "Pay what you want" subscriptions to SMF 1.1.19?
Is this possible in 2.0.x?
Would take some tinkering, but looks like it could be done in 2.0.7. You'd have to replace the 'Order with PayPal' button with a PP donation button, and change the text that members see on the subscriptions and order pages.
Thanks Krash. I'll look to upgrading and giving it a shot.
It gets a bit involved if you want the donation to function like a paid sub and automatically move the subscriber to a different group. That requires tinkering with the PP api. Will take a closer look soon as I have some time.
There is (was) a paid subs mod that worked in earlier 1.1.1x versions, but have never seen it.
I have this if you need it, for 2.0.7. A bit of a hack, but it werks gud!
