I guees I put the php file in ipb directory, but do I have to install smf before I convert?

Yes, you do have to install SMF before you convert. For best results, it should be installed on the same database as IPB.

Convert workes, www.kyouakujounins.com/forums but there is a problem. The smiils section in admin dont have all features of 1.1 , it just says settings and smiles sets

Check the box next to "Enable customized smileys" and save the settings. Then you'll get more options.
