Live Demo (http://model98.org/forum/index.php?;theme=13)

To add your own custom box,

index.template.php

The code for this part is all in one echo, and is commented. It's really easy to add your own.

Find this comment:

Quote// This is the table cell for the side info boxes, and side menu.Each Box is separated with a comment to make adding your own easier.

a few lines below, youll see the start of the menu box, begining with
Quote<!--Begin menu box-->

scroll down, untill you find the end of the key stats box
Quote<!--end keystats box-->

Below that line, is where you add your box. This is the code you must add.
Quote
<!--begin my custom box-->
<center><table class="connector" height="33" width="65"><tr><td></td></tr></table></center>
<table width="150" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tr><td width="22" height="27"><img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/tl.gif" height="27" width="22" alt=""/></td><td width="100%" class="topofbox">This is the title of your box</td><td width="22" height="27"><img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/tr.gif" height="27" width="22" alt=""/></td></tr></table>
<table width="150" style="border: 1px solid black"  class="boxbackground"><tr><td width="150">
Here, you add your content.
</td></tr></table><table width="150" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0"><tr><td width="22" height="19"><img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/bl.gif" height="19" width="19" alt=""/></td><td width="100%" class="bottomofbox">&nbsp;</td><td width="19" height="19"><img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/br.gif" height="19" width="19" alt=""/></td></tr></table>
<!--end my custom box-->

voila.

Not bad :), although since you have the Online box at the top, I think you should remove it from the info center.

Looks cool :) But I will suggest you to modify the link tree folder icon so it goes well with the overall color of the theme ;)

Tippmaster, you should use a new image for the navigation menu collapse button.  Just my opinion.

I hope your 1.1RC1 version is coming out soon.  I would really like to use this theme for my website.  It's perfect.  Great work!

thanks.

this theme will not be updated to RC1, but it will be updated to 1.1 final or rc2.

Post by: DMS_Shaun on October 10, 2005, 01:51:21 PM
There wont be many more differences from rc1 to final or rc2, so thats cool with me.
Title: Re: [Theme] xLite
Post by: 1MileCrash on October 10, 2005, 01:58:44 PM
the main reason is because of the new default theme. It's likely (im positive) that a rc1 vesion of a theme wont work right on a rc1+ or 1.1 final. So updating it to rc1 really serves no purpose as of now.

When smf updates again,they'll be cleaning the code of the default theme to make it work faster & bring up less errors again. :)

This is the new smf default theme (http://www.angrysandwich.com/community/index.php)

I like it, but I never use the default theme.  Its so...bland.  Mine is default Helios_Multi, mostly cause of the color scheme and I can add multiple buttons.  But, this xLite is awesome.

a few people have told me that, actually. Im going to mess around with the scheme and see what i can come up with. It was at first orange, but i didnt like the way it went with the gray.
