Otsikko: Marquee New Posts in 2.0.7?
Kirjoitti: ivanTW - kesäkuu 19, 2014, 11:00:41 AP
Hi there,

I was searching through the community and didn't find an exact answer so I figured I'd post this question here and hopefully get something definitive. Does anyone know of a mod or maybe some code of how to set up a scrollable marquee on the homepage of a forum of the newest posts? Maybe something that has the subject and the first line of the content?

I attached a crude example of what I'm searching for. It may not exist, but I figured I's ask to make sure, or maybe it's even something I can enter some code on if I can get specific instruction of where to put it ( I'm no PHP wiz). I'm using 2.0.7 and my screenshot is below of what I'm specifically referencing. It's VERY CRUDE. lol  :)

Marquee is a very old and deprecated tag that most modern browsers don't support anymore. And it's something most people consider.... errrmmmm... cheesy :P

In order for you to do that, a "JS-marquee" is necessary. Eg: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/10547797/very-simple-very-smooth-javascript-marquee
I wouldn't advise you to do it ;)

Awesome Answer Margarett. Thanks I'll reconsider that idea. LOL I appreciate the answer a bunch! If it's not supported, it's probably not worth the time.

Thanks again.
