Title: vBulletin 3.8.7 to SMF 2.0.7 fails
Post by: S14k on July 22, 2014, 12:05:51 AM
So, I wanted to switch to SMF because vBulletin emailed me for using an unlicensed product. (lol)

But when I try to convert the database, I get this error:

QuoteSorry, the database connection information used in the specified installation of SMF cannot access the installation of vBulletin 3.7. This may either mean that the installation doesn't exist, or that the Database account used does not have permissions to access it.

The error that was received from the Database was: SELECT command denied to user 'racerslo_smf'@'localhost' for table 'user'

I am using the vBulletin 3.7 to SMF 2.0 converter.

Edit: I figured it out, I had to go in my cPanel and add the SMF user to vBulletin database. Just a noob error!

All was successful.
