Otsikko: Move all to new group?
Kirjoitti: MarkJ - elokuu 09, 2014, 03:07:37 AP
I have a combined forum with both 'Daily' and 'Adult' boards.  I have setup group membership so that members can opt in for access to the adult stuff.  What I would like to do - and can do - is to create 2 groups ...

DAILY Boards
ADULT Boards

How the above is going to work is for me to restrict access (permissions) to DAILY boards in that no-one bar Admin / Mod can view them (guests can but registered users can't).  I have also installed the mod that moves new members into the DAILY Boards only on registration.

For this to work (is there another way?) I wanted to move the members (not many yet) by visiting their profile and choosing a suitable setting for them but I can't see the GROUP Membership link in their profile when logged in as Admin?  Just wondering why I can't and can it be fixed?

I could run a database query to update their profile settings if the above can't be fixed?

Glad you have it sorted. I will go ahead and mark this as solved. Let us know if you have any other trouble.
