- path to your own logo
- upload your own logo and auto-insert it as your new one
- set background picture
- upload new background picture
- change the title headers background. The text color will adjust to light/dark backgrounds automatically
- social network links for Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest
- use your own copyright, and select its position(above or below normal copyright)
- hide the normal theme notice/copyright(it will still show inside the source code, but not on the page)
- shuffle the order of the top sections: the title, menu, news and navigation parts

Beware that all themes installs as a mod. This is to make updates easier, in which your own custom changes stand a better chance of being kept when the theme is updated.

I'm having problems with Studio001 not resizing small enough. It seems like the menu icons won't resize and prevent the theme for looking good on a mobile phone. Any suggestions to fix this issue?

All the icons are defined in style.css. You should be able to change their widths there.

That would mean changing what menu elements are actually shown by SMF. The icons are just CSS replacements for these.
I recomend finding a menu manager mod to reduce the amount of menu items shown.

But theme things like this have never ranked high on their to-do list. Some of my previous themes had managing code - but not these.

Thank you, Bloccy, for making these themes available recently. I was looking for a great responsive theme to complement a new site design and 001 is perfect.
I've installed Studio001 on a fresh 2.0.9 install with no other mods and I have ten warnings in my error log for every page load. I installed with the Package Manager and don't think I've missed any other steps.

So, what would be the best practice for making our current theme (Studio001) actually fit on a smart phone screen. The current them resizes to a certain point, but not enough to fit on a smart phones screen without side scrolling. I'm sure it's because the main menu is too wide and won't resize any further. Does anyone know the best practice for addressing this short coming?
How many extra menu items do you have? Because it fits just dandy on my phone and tablet screens using the stabdard menu and even with 2 additional icons. ..
Or perhaps you are using a portal which is not optimized?
Please see the iPhone screen shot below. Perhaps the theme is not optimized for the iPhone 6 plus?
The many items menus are pushing things out, try reducing them, like mentioned several times now.
This is another example ( Suki -or "miss sunday" perhaps- watch out, heres another rant :P ) of things in SMF not really tailored for mobiles. The menu should be shortened, split up, managed, whatever..so you could have used theme well on mobiles too. As of now you just have to live with it(or change Subs.php). The theme takes what it is served and try to make the best room out of that. You can change the widths of the icons, replace them too, I did not to preserve the big hit areas.

I am preparing to replace a custom use of the enterprise theme with studio-003
a few things that I noticed:
On all of these themes, there is an issue with your GenericList.template.php
specifically the code that creates the header row gets screwed up if there is no defined style for the row...
(the closing > for the div doesn't get loaded unless there is a style)
I also added the css_table_cell class to the div
I have changed it to:

adding some radius statements, so things get a little less blocky..
I notice multiple layers of colors one, over another over another... with the curved corners, this becomes a pain in the butt to track down what level is pulling the background which is under the background...
the main menu buttons work fine, up until the Admin button. By the time it gets to the Moderate button, though, the hover effect is WAY off from the text and it just gets worse the further right you go on the menu...
Profile, My Messages, Calendar... by that point, the hover effect isn't even under the words any more...
In index.template.php, I changed the color selector for the headings from a solid color to gradient

With this, I can select the color in the BAC admin section, and it creates a gradient heading background shading from color to black. :)
IMO, not quite so jarring on the eyes.
So, that's all well and good... some suggestions, some commentary...
Now however, we get to the crux of the matter.
I used the form selection from Enterprise to allow a choice of different color/headers - Enterprise just updated the header image itself -- with studio-003, I set the form to update and use a different CSS file.
Now... the selector WORKS, but after the choice reloads, it still DISPLAYS the first item in the dropdown - not the one that was selected... I know I am missing something obvious but could you point out or suggest what I need to do to get it to display the actual selection chosen by the user? (it does get recorded in the database/theme table)
Finally... what icons did you use for the mobile sized version? I obviously need to get some more icons for the mods that will be getting added and I'd like to use the same designs. :)

Is the code taken from Enterprise changed all the way? I mean, this code:

I left 'mypic' as the variable name (which shouldn't matter (right?) - it's just a variable name -- and the current site, when we upgrade it has people sho have already chosen a setting under that variable)
As long as "mypic" is used when fetching the colors/stylesheet, then yes, doesn't matter. If it still doesn't work, then maybe something was left out further up?

BTW: Figured out the issue with the dorpdown/select... I had changed the set values for the fields... but negelcted to change the values in the if statement - so it was getting SET to "negotiator" but was CHECKING for "1"

You never did answer one question... what icon set is being used for the main menu?
I don't recall exactly what they were called...but there should be a PSD file to add more to them? In any case,using your own is a simple as making the sprite for them(and adding a few extra css styles of course, they follow the button id's anyway)
So, I have made additional tweaks
here's the list of updates I have applied
1- corrected the list displays (they are all broken in AlphaCentauri, Studio001, Studio002 and Studio003)
2- replaced the on/on2/off/redir images with divs/spans using a radius. This includes the main "images" for eahc board and the descriptive "images" at the bottom of the board index
3- Added a dropdown to select a theme variation (each variation requires its own CSS at the moment)
4- Made the color selector option (in the BAC section) apply the color to the on/on2/off/redir as well as a few other places
5- made the color choice use a gradient in the headings and "image" replacements
6- fixed some CSS issues that had mods like gallery and wiki dropping the main section below the right/left nav options
7- added about 8 more icons for the mobile version/mods
8- tweaked the newsbox/titlebox
9- tweaked CSS to make a bunch of the sections use radius (rounded corners) rather than abrupt sharp edges.
Now, I am working on making the background image for the newsbox be actually responsive/fluid.

:) Glad you took the time to enhance it. Theres alot that can be done to tweak and improve upon it.
Incidentally, much of the concepts in the Studio themes - including the BAC options - have been transformed/moved over into an upcoming project of mine called "alpha-themes", which i will put on github soon. Its a pure theme project, not a mod/theme. My goal is to also add various tweaks for other mods in this theme/repository, for all to use as they need. It will be GLP licenced as i don't want anyone re-selling derivatives of it, but certainly encourage free themes built from it.
You see, the Studio-themes were nice, but I felt I had to rewrite the CSS 100% instead of just tweaking SMF 2.0 styles to meet my goals and plans for it, it gets to a point where you put up your hands and just want to start fresh, start better.But more on that when its live.

Yes, adding in color changers can really enhance a theme. Was this for every user? Or just a setting for admin?

I was planning to add the BAC color edits for the admin... mostly because the sites that I am currently designing for have a definite color palate that should be adhered to...
but adding a profile option to choose a color combination (like the old Helios theme) is a nice idea for use extended beyond those two sites.

Hey Bloc.... it's working nicely.
Studio-003 has been modified and taken out of my test site to be live at http://www.fx-sabers.com/forum
It's pretty slick and does a nice job on mobile.
I changed a few more things...
theme sub-set changer at the top
accordion/touch-friendly menus for the side-bar in profile and admin
(the menus were getting too long and were pushing down the content a huge amount on mobile)
modified the header image CSS to be a bit more responsive
modified the header usermenu to look nicer with the header image background (and then change as the background shifts with the smaller screens)
had to disable a bunch of the sub-menu actions in the BAC screen since they were generating errors on every load of the BAC page. (local settings for BAC remains - the other screens are removed, since anything that called home was choking)
Some tweaks to the CSS to make the Likes mod play nice.
Some tweaks to the CSS to make the Levertine Gallery mod play nice
rewrote Ultimate profile mod template to use div:table instead of actual tables
modified the subs.php main menu to remove options which are duplicated and move some options to sub-menus.
next up... re-write boardindex and messageindex to use div:table instead of actual tables...

Hello bloc, thanks for creating this lovely theme, i need help in changing the width of the post page and some other sections of the theme to 100%, so the theme stretches and fits to screen, check the image below

yes it is,
even with chrome mobile browser
hmmmmm... since it is not broken for me there, and I have received no complaints, after having the theme installed for almost a year, perhaps the issue is your browser installation?

its kinda weird, because it happens on other phones :-\ .
Is there a way I can edit the design of the login box?
I just noticed it happens mainly when the phone is in Portrait mode if the phone is set to landscape mode and bent, it shows the remaining contents of the login page.
The login page is not behaving responsively.
oh, it *IS* behaving repsonsively.... I see your issue though..

Done! the texts are now showing, but the
Login button and
Forgot your password not showing well
well, I disagree with the statement. I think they show just right.

personally, I think it looks terrible... but (in studio003 - not sure about the others)

remove the padding.
I reallt recommend that you learn some basic CSS stuff and learn to use firebug in firefox or the webdeveloper tool in firefox (and chrome)

Hi kindred i have been having problem editing and change the top layer of this theme where rss feed, facebook should be ( i removed them) am trying to make it stretch and fit to screen. Please view the image
