I'm a steam user, I buy my games on steam etc... latest changes on steam UI really got me and want me to port to SMF 2.1 (I'm not working with SMF 2.0 anymore).
- Colors inspired from store.steampowered.com
- Fully HTML5/CSS3
- As always Font-Awesome as font-icons
- Theme features gradients but mostly transparent gradients.
Best part using FA in my projects its giving me big flexibility and big headache to find proper icon :P beside my other works (Inferno port to SMF2.1 / Anno Online theme port to SMF 2.1) this time I take a step forward and changes icons in SCEditor as well (shame on me no?). I enjoyed every single moment while creating this theme.
Important Note
With latest changes to SMF 2.1's core, you no longer need to use lunarfall_dependencies

Note: Screenshot may not look so nice at first look, background using fixed positioning you can have better idea with browsing live demo :P
I have leaned to unfix the background temporarily for a screenie. ;D
Love the colors Mr. Cat. :)

too bad doing so requires editing the SCE JS file :(

QuoteThis theme will be released at later point still needs more work especially on icons (converting).
I love dark themes, and this is no exception. Well done!

/me innocently drops a link to the ground...
https://github.com/Antes/kittenground/tree/theme_tests < this link is only for people who knows what they are doing :P do not download it you'll break your test forum or bring some old bugs back online... Source not updated and some parts of the source files changed to make theme work.
/me gets ready to break things and then fix them
Looks good, Antes!
I pushed some more commits, I'll work on this theme more from now on.
- Theme will be free w/o any copyright (except the paw icon),
- Theme won't be supporting IE8/9 (required changes done),
- There will be a modification to;
-- edit some parts of the source to make the theme work (since SMF does not checks the files but forces them)
-- and also SMF does not have Source/Template separation completely some classes needs to change.
- I'll put a small donate me button to the admin page.
Nice theme :)
Tonight I made small changes but they are something in my mind for a while :) I still want to improve the UI/UX in that area because it looks so boxed-in.
Also this time I take a step forward and listen someone else, that means I'm using zebra-stripes in this theme. Still main container is windowbg (ONLY), windowbg2 is removed from templates etc... but it'll have its place in CSS so that won't create a headache for me in the future :P
This thing is awesome for mobile users. I told it in a support topic.

Those additions are exclusive for my theme only they won't be in Curve2 unless someone take time to add.

yeh I know that. think so anyone do that in Curve2 theme also.
these on/ off speech bubbles could do with some AA. They do look rather jagged.

That icons also coming from Font-Awesome, maybe a bug? not sure...
I must admit, this is a scary & proud moment for me :)
Lunarfall v0.1.0 released for SMF 2.1 Beta testers. Theme is not complete but mostly read for testing. Please do not try to install this theme to SMF 2.0 sites, please also note that theme won't be back ported by me to SMF 2.0, since it has MIT license you can take it and use it / port it.
You can find the pack in the first post.
I always had the same idea of the icons, even in 2.0 with a few responsive themes, but always came across with the "issue" and laziness of taking care of custom buttons like topic solved, etc.
Also to cover buttons everywhere, like poll options, search users, etc
Nice colors.
nice theme... don't like the REALLY LARGE buttons for all menus though...
changed
.dropmenu li a {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #416c8a;
color: #67c1f5;
margin: 0;
padding: 15px !important;
to
.dropmenu li a {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #416c8a;
color: #67c1f5;
margin: 0;
padding: 5px 15px !important;
also...
#error_log tr:first-child td {
background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #fff;
border-bottom: 2px solid #bf6900;
border-top: 2px solid #ff9400;
padding: 8px;
}
still has a white background
Ah thanks :) I was working on Curve2 forgot to upload new pack here, I fixed icon related issues today (fa-fw > fixed width - kinda smaller icons).
Can you upload the attached if things good I'll do some more changes and put to first post.
Will try to check later tonight...
look below attachment I install your them in my test site. I use android mobile
See home page menu font too big if it is little bit small then looks fine.
what do you think
Its not really big for small screens, touch (UX) is really getting worse on small menu items. You can see the example of GitHub as well. I'll add border-bottom to small screen menu so it won't give impression that you are clicking somewhere else :P
You say right but it's looking odd
Antes... checked the new version.
I don't see any backgrounds that are still white, in the screens that I have checked...
I do think that the buttons might need some work - aseptically when viewed on the desktop
I don't like adding settings, I like things simple but this time its not really a setting, more like protecting user's site to avoid conflict in other themes. What I did was simply adding setting to disable FA icons and adding check in Load.php (FA.css) and Subs-Menu (new way to show $area['icon_class']), lets say user has 3 or more theme +lunarfall, and one of the themes (or mod) loaded FA.css (it uses in some place). Simply that setting does not allow SMF to load that type of menu icon showing method to other themes.

Please read the first post :) v0.2.0 release with some goodies :P
You can follow project here: https://github.com/Antes/Lunarfall
Sorry that's my bad, dependencies actually changing the sceditor.css not JS :/ updated the dependencies mod. It should be fine now.
So after some work on Curve2, I came back to my Lunarfall :P today's changes are on quickbuttons. As much as i like how they are now but I want to try something else I saw this WBB, it looks cute and nice :)
Edit: I also added small opacity/transition trick :) (sorry IE9 users).
Opacity/transition trix rock. I find them very handy. Stuff IE9. :P
Just yesterday I was thinking about making the quickbuttons do something like that on small screens. Since I've made the sidebar menu responsive it'd make sense to do a few more items too, and quickbuttons is an obvious one on a 320 screen. It'd save a fair bit of height when you have a full page of posts and admin/moderator permissions. Wouldn't matter much for normal members, since they only get one or two buttons on most posts, but very handy for staff.
Please use only English under this topic, sorry :) posts in Turkish got deleted.
Okay I was slacking :D but did some changes over past <insert-timeframe-i-was-slacking> days, FA released v4.3, which i upgraded Lunarfall to it (easy), but bigger better news with help from NanoSector (again :D ), I changed collapsed view a bit (yet another opacity/transition trick).
collapsed > opacity: 0.5
collapsed (hover) > opacity: 1
and finally collapsed class has 1s transition.
How about some release ? :)
0.3.0 (26 January 2015)
! Font-Awesome updated to v4.3
+ Collapsed boards has less opacity (Big thanks to NanoSector for creating snip for me)
+ OG support added from Curve2
- removed generic_icons.png
- removed admin_icons_hd.png
* background image changed (this made sure big screens 1080p 24''++ gets better view)
+ added credits to credits page
* more icon conversation
* more css corrections
Okay its been quite time I did some release :P, this release won't feature much but mostly catching core software and keeping up-to-date... There are still broken things I'll fix them soon, at least this release fix the issues if you are testing nightly builds.
Its been quite a time (nearly 1 year) since I touched the project but, I mostly catch up with Curve2 and did a release v0.5.0. You can find information related to project at first post (pretty & tidier).
Since now I have some more free time, I decided to resurrect this project. I added 0.6 PreRelease (installs as 0.5), but it should work pretty fine with everything, do note this zip file has some missing CSS in it. I just rushed 2 hour work to finish it at least for some ground testing. Let me know ^^
Screenshots included within the main post would be nice.
This theme is not for real usage, it has bugs / unfinished parts. Its also for SMF 2.1 so you should download this only if you want to test the theme for later usage.

I am using the latest version of SMF
"latest" is never an useful term... specifically what version are you using?

Well considering the issue user having. User is on 2.0.x (possibly .14) loadCSSFile func. introduced in SMF 2.1.
I can't edit first post unfortunately. I decided to go for 0.5.1 instead 0.6.
https://github.com/Antes/Lunarfall/releases/tag/v0.5.1
A catch-up release for anyone likes to test stuff; this is an untested version of Lunarfall, expect more fixes soon (even maybe today).
https://github.com/Antes/Lunarfall/releases/tag/v0.5.2
Recent changes to make sure everything is synced with main repo (still can be behind), and upgraded Font-Awesome (Icons) to v5 (5.0.6). I think from this moment I'll polish the theme and make sure its use-ready (as ready as the software).
This project has been stopped till further notice.
Sorry :/
YOLO, synced with latest changes because why not ? Use github version (https://github.com/Antes/Lunarfall/archive/master.zip) not releases. Preparing 0.6 slowly with my SP fork. What I said for SP fork (you can read here: https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=560983.0) applies to Lunarfall as well.
Fancy some tooltips ? Me too :)
edit: my apologies I forgot to upload styled version.
If this theme were available with a few different colour palettes (eg a light version as well as this darker one) that'd be even betterer. :)

At this point I'm only focusing on one color style, after that maybe... or someone can fork the Lunarfall and make Lightbringer. I have to say ... as a WoW player I'm tempted to expand Lunarfall into WoW Classes with sub sections like;
* Lava Burst (Red based Shaman variation)
* Holy Light (Light based Paladin/Holy Priest) etc...
but to this happen first we need to see SMF 2.1 Final & Lunarfall 1.0
Since this theme is release for public :P https://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=561934.0
